Companycam is hiring a
Senior Financial Analyst

Hi, we’re CompanyCam.

We create simple-to-use, visual-first communication and accountability tools for contractors. Imagine a B2B SaaS (business-to-business software-as-a-service) app that doesn’t look like garbage, built by a team of capable, laid-back people.

But don’t let the chill throw you off; we’re a fast-growing, product-led startup with big plans for the future.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team, reporting to the Director of FP&A. This role offers applicants a unique opportunity to get a foot in the door of a growing SaaS company, to learn and grow as a Finance professional, and to take ownership of forecasting, planning, and reporting functions of FP&A.

In this job you will...

  • Develop and own our three-statement financial forecast model to help monitor and drive strategic business decisions and identify opportunities to optimize performance.
  • Own planning and forecasting processes for operating expenses and revenue recognition.
  • Conduct exploratory analyses to identify business opportunities and review the effectiveness of new business initiatives.
  • Support and collaborate with business partners in the creation and evaluation of business cases, goals, and strategic initiatives.
  • Uncover and communicate insights and key drivers of performance and variances to financial plans.
  • Lead in the preparation and compilation of the annual operating plan (AOP), long range plan (LRP), quarterly plan refreshes, and monthly forecast updates.
  • Own preparation and delivery of internal and external financial reporting.
  • Support Finance and the CEO in preparing for any future fundraising events and M&A activities.

You must...

  • Show up every day, taking the courage to do the difficult but necessary stuff.
  • Grow up constantly: you're OK working in an environment full of change. You take responsibility, love ownership, learn continuously, and have a growth mindset.
  • Do good by treating your co-workers and customers the way you would like to be treated.
  • Be technically savvy and hungry to learn the ins and outs of our platform quickly.
  • Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting, or a degree supplemented with a Finance focus.
  • Have prior experience in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Have an analytical mindset and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Have strong quantitative skills and an attention to detail.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and accurately.
  • Reside permanently and currently in Lincoln, NE or the surrounding metro area. Sorry, we're not hiring outside the U.S. at this time even if you're willing to work during U.S. time zones.

It'd be nice if you...

  • Have experience working for a SaaS company.
  • Have experience with FP&A software (we’re implementing Pigment in Q3!)
  • Have 3-5 years of relevant Finance experience.
  • Have experience with BI tools and SQL.
