Job Summary:
Develop and provide supply chain analytics that cross organizations and Business Units, such as through put time, lead time, delivery, logistics, working capital, and order management. Make recommendations to achieve profitability, customer service, and/or inventory goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop supply chain analytics to make operational performance and trends visible. Lead and participate in six sigma and supply chain improvement projects Use common processes tools, and information systems to enable supply chain analysis. Ensure data integrity of all analytics and reports. Develop reporting capability for supply chain Key Performance Indicators. Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans. Use existing business systems to provide analytics and reporting that are capable and repeatable. Develop basic supply chain models for scenario analysis Conduct internal and external benchmarking analysis. Plan for Every Part (PFEP) - Uses PFEP in planning, designing, and management of systems and processes within a facility to ensure delivery of right part at the right time in the right quantity to the right place, which in turn guarantees smooth operations; applies PFEP principles on the end to end supply chain with particular attention to the relationships between master data management, materials planning parameters, engineered material flows, transport management, and warehouse management.
Analysis and Troubleshooting - Extracts, transforms, models, interprets, and presents planning data with the goal of mining useful information, troubleshooting, suggesting conclusions, and supporting value creating decision making.
Material Planning - Uses advanced tools (e.g. Advanced Planning Command Centre, Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboards etc.) to take a decision related to parts availability, inventory optimization and root cause analysis.
Materials KPI Management - Operates in relation to recent or historical outputs as compared to expectations of the organization to determine next steps to drive improvement; assesses gaps to the supply chain performance against the expectation of achieving target deliverables; interprets KPIs to understand end-customer impact; strategically balances trade-offs to influence one KPI while minimizing the impact to others.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level of experience required. 3-5 years of relevant work experience preferred.
The role is focused on data-driven professional to drive inventory optimization across global manufacturing sites. The primary focus of this role is to reduce excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory, improve working capital efficiency, and enable smarter supply chain decisions through analytics, standardized process design, governance and execution cross-functions and BUs within Cummins
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Optimization
- Analyze inventory across global plants to identify excess, slow-moving, and obsolete stock
- Drive initiatives to reduce E&O inventory and improve inventory turns
- Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies to avoid excess and absolute
- E&O Reduction Programs
- Own end-to-end tracking and reporting of excess & obsolete inventory
- Partner with planning, procurement, and manufacturing teams to create liquidation/consumption plans
- Monitor aging inventory and proactively flag risks
- Data Analytics & Reporting
- Build dashboards and reports using Power BI / Excel to track inventory KPIs
- Automate reporting processes and improve data visibility across regions
- Generate insights to support decision-making for supply chain leadership
- Global Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with stakeholders across multiple geographies (plants, regional teams, corporate)
- Drive alignment on inventory targets, policies, and action plans
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership

Process Improvement & Digitization
- Identify gaps in current inventory management processes
- Lead initiatives to digitize and standardize inventory analytics and reporting
- Collaborate with IT/data teams
Key Skillsets: - 8-14 years of experience in Supply Chain / Inventory Management / Planning Analytics
- Strong understanding of inventory concepts (safety stock, demand variability, lead times)
- Hands-on experience handling large datasets using advanced excel, Power BI
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
