[8RSC] QA Analyst (SQL)

Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented, analytical professional to join our team as a
QA Analyst – Web, Reporting, & Data Warehouse.
This position is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of data
warehouse systems, data reports, and web applications. The right candidate will
bring a strong understanding of QA methodologies, data validation, and web
technologies, and will partner closely with software developers, data engineers,
analysts, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

Expectations - the experience you need: 

• +90% English written and oral (at least B2+ level) with excellent communication skills
• 5+ years of QA experience, ideally spanning web, reporting, and data environments.
• Strong SQL skills for validating and analyzing data.
• Hands-on experience testing ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of testing tools such as Postman or similar.
• Experience validating reports using BI tools like Power BI.
• Experience working in environments using Agile/Kanban practices.

Position - how you'll contribute

Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning, Coordination, and Management:
- Own and maintain master test plans.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including software developers,
analysts, and business stakeholders to align on testing priorities and
efforts.
- Oversee functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
(UAT) across data pipelines, reporting systems, and web applications.
- Identify, log, and track defects, bugs, and data inconsistencies identified
during testing, and work with development teams to resolve them in a
timely manner.
- Report on testing status, issues, and results to IT Project Managers and IT
Leadership.

Web Application Testing:
- Review requirements and technical specs to build thorough test plans and
test cases for web applications built on the .NET framework.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing across multiple
platforms.
- Test front-end web application functionality for usability, performance,
and security.
- Test and validate back-end functionality, data inputs/outputs, and UI
elements for consistency and ease of use

BI & Reporting QA Testing and Validation:
- Validate the accuracy and completeness of data in BI dashboards and
static/dynamic Power BI reports.
- Validate that calculations, KPIs, and filters within reports align with source
data specs.
- Test data refresh cycles, report rendering, and scheduled report delivery.
