Every number in the ledger got there because someone put it there. The question is whether it belongs. Whether it is coded correctly, reconciled completely, and documented well enough to hold up when someone asks. This is not an FP&A seat. It is the foundation that makes FP&A possible. Encore runs complex corporate travel programs. Our finance function holds the same standard as every client-facing team in the organization. Rigorous, proactive, built for the long term. Someone who takes ownership of accuracy before anyone asks. Who sees a discrepancy and treats it as a signal, not an inconvenience. Who understands that clean books are not a compliance exercise. They are what make everything else possible. You own the reconciliation of corporate credit cards and payment instruments across our entities, support the month-end close, and keep the general ledger tight. You work directly with the Treasurer, partner with North American counterparts, and leave every process better than you found it. What you'll do Own reconciliations with precision. You perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of corporate credit card transactions across all entities. You investigate discrepancies, follow up with cardholders on missing receipts or policy exceptions, and resolve outstanding items before they compound. Visa, corporate cards, payment tools across LATAM and North America. Nothing sits. Support the close and keep the ledger clean. You prepare journal entries and accounting adjustments with proper coding and documentation. You support month-end and year-end close, including account reconciliations, accruals, and period-end reporting. Supporting schedules are audit-ready at all times, not just when an auditor asks. Hold the line on AP and AR. You support accounts payable by reviewing vendor reconciliations and verifying invoice coding. You support accounts receivable by monitoring outstanding balances and assisting with billing queries. Prepaid account reconciliations and accrual support during close. You know where the gaps are before someone else finds them. Protect the controls. Every reconciliation has the documentation to back it. Every exception gets flagged promptly. When an internal or external audit arrives, the schedules are ready and the answers are clear. Improve what you touch. You identify reconciliation workflows that should not be manual, recommend improvements, and work with the Treasurer to standardize processes and build templates that scale. The goal is a more efficient operation. The method is taking ownership of the details that make it happen. Requirements What you bring Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2โ4 years of accounting experience with focus on reconciliations: credit card, bank or vendor. Hands-on experience with journal entries, month-end close support, and general ledger maintenance. Advanced Excel: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliation templates. Full professional proficiency in English for regular communication with North American counterparts and Finance leadership. Native or bilingual proficiency in Spanish for local operations and LATAM entity work. An asset Exposure to multi-entity or multi-currency environments. Experience with accounting or ERP software; Sage Intacct preferred. Familiarity with IATA,BSP or ARC processes. Comfortable working with large data sets across multiple transaction sources. Who Thrives Here Encore has held an average client retention of 15 years. Every function in the company contributes to that number, including finance. The controls that protect the business, the reconciliations that keep the ledger clean, the close that runs on time: all of it carries weight. The people who do their best work here are the ones who find the problem before it becomes one. They take ownership of a task from the first transaction to the final schedule. They hold a standard not because someone is watching, but because letting something slide is not in their nature. The ledger does not lie. This role is for the person who makes sure it never has to.
