Responsibilities:
. Support process mapping and process mining activities to understand current‑state actuarial valuation processes, controls and data flows.
. Assist with documenting actuarial methodologies, business rules and data requirements in clear and structured formats.
. Contribute to re‑engineering efforts by identifying inefficiencies, recurring manual steps and opportunities for automation within the valuation lifecycle.
. Prepare and transform valuation input datasets using Python and Databricks under guidance from senior colleagues.
. Help build simple visualisations and valuation‑metric dashboards using Databricks Apps and Power BI.
. Use GitHub Copilot and Copilot 365 responsibly to support coding, documentation and analysis, validating outputs against actuarial and reporting requirements
. Follow established frameworks, guidelines and controls when delivering process or data changes.
. Collaborate closely with actuarial, finance and technology teams across India and the UK to support delivery of valuation transformation activities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and share knowledge with the team to enhance their skills and expertise.
• Conduct real-time and historical transaction monitoring and flag potentially suspicious transactions.
• Conduct level 1 transaction monitoring alert reviews and discounting.
• Manages conflicts that may impact delivery
• Challenges upwards given knowledge of delivery and awareness of complex systems and the broader picture
• Identifies and anticipates need for changes to continuously improve quality and efficiency of output
• Manages resources and risks using expert judgment, know-how and experience
