The Advanced Logistics Analyst is responsible for leading strategic procurement activities across transportation, warehousing, freight, and logistics service categories while ensuring efficient logistics operations and supply chain performance. The role focuses on supplier sourcing, contract management, cost optimization, supplier performance management, and procurement governance, complemented by oversight of logistics execution, inventory planning, and distribution performance. The position drives operational excellence through data analytics, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing:
- Develop and execute Logistics category management strategies covering transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding, and third-party logistics services.
- Monitor logistics market trends & Lead end-to-end supplier sourcing activities including RFQs/RFPs,supplier evaluation, selection, and contract awards.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, service level agreements (SLAs), and contract terms to achieve optimal value and risk management.
- Manage supplier performance through KPI reviews, business reviews, scorecards, and corrective action plans.
- Identify and implement cost-saving, cost-avoidance, and process improvement initiatives across logistics spend categories.
- Conduct spend analysis, market intelligence, benchmarking, and supplier risk assessments to support sourcing decisions.
- Monitor transportation capacity, freight cost drivers, and supplier capabilities.
- Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Finance, Legal, and Procurement stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment with business requirements.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, governance standards, ethical sourcing requirements, and contractual obligations.
Logistics & Supply Chain Operations :
- Monitor transportation, distribution, and warehouse service provider performance to ensure service-level compliance and on-time delivery.
- Support inventory planning, safety stock management, and S&OP activities in collaboration with planning and operations teams.
- Coordinate with logistics partners and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and improve service performance.
- Analyze logistics KPIs including freight cost, vendor performance, inventory accuracy, and delivery performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support logistics process standardization through SOP development and data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8 – 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or supply chain functions with exposure to logistics categories.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, category management, and cost optimization.
- Experience working with logistics providers, freight carriers, warehousing operations, and transportation networks.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent is desirable.
