Air Freight Import Team Leader

• Lead and develop the AFR Import team ensuring high performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Drive P&L performance and Gross Profit growth while identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Ensure excellent customer service through proactive shipment management, visibility, reporting, and resolution of operational issues.
• Manage customer retention and support business growth through strong customer relationships, quotations, and operational excellence.
• Monitor and drive achievement of operational and financial KPIs, ensuring compliance with global and local standards.
• Ensure accurate billing, file accounting, accruals, and revenue recognition in line with established financial processes.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, including consolidation and productivity enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, airlines, and the DHL Global Forwarding network to ensure seamless operations.
• Oversee successful customer onboarding and implementation of new business opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement actions where required.
• Ensure compliance with DHL policies and  industry regulations.
• Act as the key operational contact for customers and internal stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive knowledge of Airfreight Import Operations, including pricing and commercial processes.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen with a customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a proactive and solution oriented approach
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced level in English.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Cargowise is an asset
