Key responsibilities include:
- Shape the Bank's financial crime detection capability by developing, testing and refining transaction monitoring rules and customer screening controls aligned to the Bank's AML/CTF risk profile and emerging financial crime intelligence.
- Analyse complex financial crime intelligence and AML/CTF typologies to identify emerging risks, strengthen detection strategies and enhance the effectiveness of the Bank's Transaction Monitoring Program.
- Drive continuous improvement by conducting regular performance testing, tuning and optimisation of transaction monitoring rules to ensure they remain effective in an evolving financial crime landscape.
- Influence enterprise-wide AML/CTF outcomes by partnering with Financial Crimes and first-line teams to improve understanding of ML/TF typologies, strengthen controls and support compliance with AML/CTF legislation.
- Leverage data and analytics to uncover meaningful insights, assess AML/CTF risk profiles and support evidence-based decision making that protects the Bank and its customers.
