Create your best future and join Westpac as an Analyst, BAO Services (Risk – Yields Platform)

What’s the role?
In this role, you'll support the ongoing evolution, governance, and adoption of Yields, Westpac's strategic Model Risk Management platform. Working within the Risk BAO Services team, you'll act as the key link between business stakeholders, technology teams, delivery partners, and vendors to ensure the platform remains fit-for-purpose and aligned with business and governance requirements.

This is a business-led analyst role rather than a pure technology role, combining business analysis, platform configuration, governance, and change delivery. You'll help drive platform enhancements, perform impact assessments, support prioritisation of change initiatives, and ensure configuration changes are delivered in a controlled and well-governed manner.

You'll work in a fast-paced environment supporting Risk stakeholders, with a strong focus on requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, governance oversight, and continuous improvement across BAO Services applications and processes.

This is a full-time role based in Sydney with flexible working arrangements available.

What do I need?

  • Experience in business analysis, application support, platform governance, or techno-functional roles within financial services or other regulated environments
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across business, technology, delivery teams, and vendors
  • Experience gathering requirements, conducting impact assessments, and supporting solution design and implementation
  • Exposure to Jira, Confluence, Agile delivery methodologies, and change governance practices
  • Technical capability including platform configuration, systems thinking, and exposure to SQL, Power BI, Power Automate, or similar tools
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment

Experience within Risk, Model Risk, governance platforms, or BAO Services environments will be highly regarded.
