Dépassement et défis stimulants :

Afin de compléter notre département de simulation sur FPGA, nous recherchons un candidat avec de l’expérience en modélisation temps réel appliqué au moyen de test de type HIL (Hardware-In-the-Loop), ayant de l’intérêt pour le domaine de conception d’outils applicatifs basés sur la technologie FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) destinés au domaine de la simulation d’électronique de puissance. Nous privilégions les candidats qui démontrent des aptitudes de leadership technique et de travail d’équipe.

 

Principales responsabilités :

Dans un environnement de travail dynamique inspiré des méthodes Agile/Scrum, le candidat contribuera activement au succès et à l’adoption de la solution eHS (Electrical Hardware Solver) au sein des projets internes et des projets clients. Il agira comme référence technique et fonctionnelle pour l’utilisation, l’intégration et l’optimisation de la solution eHS dans des environnements de simulation temps réel basés sur la technologie FPGA.

Le candidat jouera un rôle clé comme super utilisateur et spécialiste de la solution eHS, assurant le lien entre les équipes de développement, les équipes techniques internes et les clients. Il sera responsable de la gestion du support technique avancé (niveau 3), incluant l’analyse des problématiques complexes, la priorisation et la coordination des tickets techniques (JIRA), ainsi que l’assignation des dossiers nécessitant l’intervention des équipes de développement ou des experts du domaine.

Grâce à sa connaissance approfondie de la solution et de son écosystème technologique (RT-LAB, FPGA, outils de modélisation), il participera à l’intégration de projets clients complexes, notamment dans le domaine de la simulation en électronique de puissance sur FPGA. Il contribuera à l’identification et à la résolution des enjeux techniques rencontrés par les utilisateurs, tout en participant à l’amélioration continue du produit.

Le candidat participera également aux activités de prévente, en collaboration avec les équipes de vente et d’ingénierie. Il analysera les besoins techniques des clients, proposera des architectures matérielles et logicielles adaptées et contribuera à l’élaboration d’estimations techniques dans le cadre des propositions commerciales.

Dans une optique de diffusion des connaissances et de développement des compétences internes et externes, le candidat sera responsable de la préparation et de la livraison de formations techniques sur la solution eHS. Il participera à la création, à la maintenance et à l’amélioration du matériel pédagogique et de la documentation technique associée au produit.

Les produits eFPGASIM et eHS témoignent de l’avancement technologique d’OPAL-RT dans le domaine de la simulation en temps réel sur FPGA. Le candidat devra suivre les évolutions technologiques dans le domaine de la simulation d’électronique de puissance et comprendre le rôle des solveurs FPGA dans les environnements de simulation temps réel. Il contribuera également aux processus et aux initiatives d’amélioration continue du produit ainsi qu’au campagne de validation de nouvelles fonctionnalités.

 

Exigences :

• Scolarité : Baccalauréat ou maîtrise en génie logiciel ou électrique, ou expérience équivalente en industrie.
• Expérience : 3 ans ou plus d’expérience de développement ou intégration de moyen de test de type HIL, et Expérience en simulation d’électronique de puissance temps-réel.
• Connaissances requises : MATLAB/Simulink, Librairie SimPowerSystems, eHS, JIRA (ou produits similaire).
• Autres compétences (atouts) : Connaissance des produits et plateformes de OPAL-RT (RT-LAB, RT-XSG), notions en électronique de puissance et/ou modélisation, développement Python.
• Connaissances linguistiques : Français obligatoire; la connaisance de l'Anglais est requise pour la communicaiton avec nos clients internationaux.
• Atout : Pouvoir voyager chez nos clients internationaux ou pour assister à des conférences jusqu'à 10% par année.

Stimulating Challenges:

 

To strengthen our FPGA simulation department, we are seeking a candidate with experience in real-time modeling applied to HIL (Hardware-In-the-Loop) testing systems, with an interest in the field of designing application tools based on FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) technology for power electronics simulation. We give preference to candidates who demonstrate technical leadership and teamwork abilities.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

In a dynamic work environment inspired by Agile/Scrum methods, the candidate will actively contribute to the success and adoption of the eHS (Electrical Hardware Solver) solution within internal projects and client projects. He will act as a technical and functional reference for the use, integration, and optimization of the eHS solution in FPGA-based real-time simulation environments.

The candidate will play a key role as a super user and specialist of the eHS solution, ensuring the link between development teams, internal technical teams, and clients. He will be responsible for managing advanced technical support (level 3), including the analysis of complex issues, prioritization and coordination of technical tickets (JIRA), as well as assigning cases requiring intervention from development teams or domain experts.

 

Thanks to his in-depth knowledge of the solution and its technological ecosystem (RT-LAB, FPGA, modeling tools), he will participate in the integration of complex client projects, particularly in the field of FPGA-based power electronics simulation. He will contribute to identifying and resolving technical issues encountered by users, while also participating in continuous product improvement.

The candidate will also participate in pre-sales activities in collaboration with the sales and engineering teams. He will analyze clients’ technical needs, propose appropriate hardware and software architectures, and contribute to the preparation of technical estimates as part of commercial proposals.

 

With the objective of knowledge sharing and developing internal and external competencies, the candidate will also be responsible for preparing and delivering technical training on the eHS solution. He will participate in the creation, maintenance, and improvement of training materials and technical documentation associated with the product.

 

The eFPGASIM and eHS products demonstrate OPAL-RT’s technological advancement in the field of FPGA-based real-time simulation. The candidate must follow technological developments in the field of power electronics simulation and understand the role of FPGA solvers in real-time simulation environments. He will also contribute to product improvement processes and initiatives, as well as validation campaigns for new features.

 

Requirements:

 

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience: 3 years or more of experience in development or integration of HIL (Hardware-In-the-Loop) testing systems, and experience in real-time power electronics simulation.
• Required Knowledge: MATLAB/Simulink, SimPowerSystems Library, eHS, JIRA (or similar tools).
• Other Skills (assets): Knowledge of OPAL-RT products and platforms (RT-LAB, RT-XSG), basics in power electronics and/or modeling, Python development. 

• Asset : Ability to travel to our international clients or to attend conferences up to 10% per year. 
• Language Requirements: French is mandatory. Knowledge of English is required for communication with our international clients.
