About our Business

Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. The Division also performs an important internal role for the Group by providing lending, markets and transaction banking execution capabilities that allows them to capture opportunities with business customers.

The Global Compliance Monitoring (GCM) team sits within the In-Life Deal Management function of Capital Structuring. GCM is a key support partner for the Coverage, Credit Risk and Capital Structuring teams by conducting in-life covenant monitoring activities as part of IB&M’s risk management framework assessing financial and non-financial obligations for Institutional clients.


Your impact & contribution:

Reporting into the Senior Associate, you’ll work with a team of professionals and business partners within CBA to service IB&M’s Institutional Lending and Leasing portfolio.

The role will see you manage compliance requirements – spanning across financial statement analysis, Insurance and Valuation reviews and assessments, contribute to process improvements and maintaining operational risk outcomes by focussing on data integrity and effective reporting.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Financial analysis and credit insight: Experience in corporate accounting, accounting practice, institutional lending or leasing, with strong exposure to financial statement analysis, credit decisions or risk recommendations.

  • Portfolio and trend analysis: Ability to assess client financial performance, identify trends and provide clear recommendations to Risk Management at client or industry level.

  • Stakeholder engagement: Strong relationship management skills, with confidence partnering with internal customers, business stakeholders and teams across domestic and international locations.

  • Communication and influence: Clear written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and become a valued partner to the business.

  • Execution and improvement mindset: Strong attention to detail, a proactive approach and an interest in using AI, digitisation and automation to improve processes.
