Proofreader/Editor​

Proofreader/Editor  will be a key member of the Plan Transitions Production program, supporting proofreading and editing across plan transition categories including Core, Custom Core, XL, and OSS. This role requires an emphasis on thorough proofreading capabilities (90%) combined with editor support (10%) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of all transition materials and communications. The position focuses on reviewing, and refining copy for plan transition materials while ensuring editorial excellence across all deliverables.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Studio Director, Production Artists, and the broader Plan Transitions team to create compelling, accurate, and compliant content that meets TIAA's standards and client expectations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, some writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.



Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Proofreading & Editorial Review: Thoroughly review all production materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style adherence, and factual accuracy, ensuring content aligns with established brand guidelines and tone.
  • Quality Assurance & Feedback: Collaborate with the Studio Director to provide constructive feedback to Production Artists, recommending non-material changes that improve readability, clarity, and overall impact.

  • Workflow  Management: Manage competing priorities effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines consistently while utilizing Workfront to track tasks and maintain efficient workflow

  • Content Editing (10%): Partner with the Editorial Director and production team to adapt and refine content across multiple formats, transforming complex financial information into clear, audience-appropriate copy that meets brand, compliance, and client requirements.

  • Proofreading and Quality Assurance (90%) Editing (10%)
