A Brief OverviewThe Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for monitoring and analyzing inventory transactions, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting effective inventory management within the manufacturing facility. This role works closely with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to reconcile inventory, investigate discrepancies, and drive improvements in inventory accuracy and reporting. The Inventory Control Analyst plays a key role in supporting cycle counts, physical inventory, and inventory optimization initiatives, contributing to overall operational efficiency and cost control.What you will do
Analyze inventory transactions to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy in ERP systems. Investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate and support routine cycle counts and annual physical inventories. Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with warehouse, production, and supply chain teams to validate inventory levels, resolve issues, and improve processes.
Prepare and distribute inventory reports, including inventory valuations, aging, and usage trends. Support monthly and quarterly financial close activities as they relate to inventory.
Maintain item master data, material movements, and system controls to ensure alignment between physical inventory and system records.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve inventory tracking processes and system efficiencies.
Assist with scrap analysis and disposition.
Support audits and compliance efforts related to inventory accuracy and controls.
Participate in cross-functional teams focused on inventory reduction and material flow optimization.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, or related field (Preferred)
Experience Qualifications
4-6 years Inventory control, materials management, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment (Required)
4-6 years With ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Excel (Required)
1-3 years Supporting physical inventory or cycle count programs (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities
Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies using system data and root cause analysis (High proficiency)
Understanding of inventory management principles, including FIFO/LIFO, cycle counts, and inventory valuation (Medium proficiency)
Familiarity with ERP systems and item master data maintenance (Medium proficiency)
Analytical skills for generating and interpreting inventory reports and KPIs (High proficiency)
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple inventory-related tasks (High proficiency)
Communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams (Medium proficiency)
Knowledge of inventory compliance practices and internal control procedures (Medium proficiency)
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis tools) (Medium proficiency)
Ability to participate in audits and implement corrective actions (Medium proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications
APICS CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) (Preferred)
