Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to play a critical role in strengthening the organization's analytics foundation through business intelligence and data analytics delivery, supported by data discovery and centralization.

This role is accountable for producing high-quality, scalable analytics and dashboards that support decision-making, while also improving clarity and consistency across distributed data systems.

The individual in this role serves as a trusted owner of analytical integrity, responsible for defining and maintaining metric logic, validating data availability and definitions, and ensuring analytics are built on clearly understood and well-documented data sources.

Success requires technical depth, analytical rigor, and the ability to balance day-to-day analytics delivery with ongoing data discovery in a decentralized data environment.

Responsibilities

Business Intelligence and Data Analytics

  • Design, build, and maintain BI dashboards and analytical solutions that support operational, strategic, and ad hoc analytical needs.
  • Own metrics and KPIs end-to-end, including definition, calculation logic, validation, and ongoing consistency.
  • Translate business questions into analytical approaches, dashboards, reports, and supporting data structures.
  • Ensure analytics are accurate, well-documented, and aligned with agreed-upon metric definitions.
  • Provide ongoing analytical support to stakeholders, including investigations, deep dives, and clarification of results.

Data Discovery, Centralization and Documentation

  • Lead data discovery efforts to determine whether required data exists, how it is defined, and where it resides.
  • Identify equivalent or related data elements across systems and document authoritative sources.
  • Support data centralization and consolidation by identifying overlaps, gaps, and inconsistencies across datasets.
  • Create and maintain documentation that supports repeatable analytics, metric consistency, and long-term scalability.

Data Quality and Accuracy

  • Validate data used in dashboards and analyses to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Identify data limitations, definition gaps, or quality issues and clearly communicate their impact.
  • Promote consistent interpretation and responsible use of metrics across teams.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Create BI dashboards and analytical outputs in close partnership with business, product, and technical teams.
  • Serve as a day-to-day analytics partner supporting decision-making through data and insights.
  • Communicate analytical findings, assumptions, and limitations clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Operate effectively in environments with evolving documentation and distributed data ownership.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related discipline.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Required:

  • Advanced SQL skills with experience querying complex, multi-schema, multi-source data environments.
  • Strong experience delivering BI dashboards, recurring analytics, and ad hoc analysis for business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience operating in decentralized or federated data environments.
  • Experience contributing to data inventories, cataloging efforts, or metric standardization initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with modern BI and visualization tools (for example, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent).

Preferred:

  • Experience with data modeling, analytics engineering, or data science practices.
  • Exposure to statistical analysis or advanced analytical techniques.
  • Familiarity with formal data governance or data quality frameworks.
