Title and Summary
Analyst, Payments Assurance Team, Warsaw, POLANDJoin Mastercard's Payments Assurance team and play a key role in safeguarding the integrity of our global payments ecosystem. As a Settlement Operations Analyst, you will help ensure the timely and accurate settlement of transactions across multiple markets and payment network by proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving settlement exceptions and cash discrepancies.Working closely with customers, financial institutions, and cross-functional partners around the world, you will combine operational expertise, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills to minimize risk, enhance customer experience, and support the seamless movement of funds. You'll have the opportunity to influence process improvements, contribute to strategic initiatives, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.
The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and motivated by continuous improvement, with the ability to manage competing priorities while collaborating effectively across global teams. In addition to daily operational responsibilities, you will support customer onboarding, testing and implementation activities, reporting and analytics initiatives, and projects designed to strengthen Mastercard's payment assurance capabilities and control environment.
What You'll Do
• Execute daily settlement activities across multiple service cut-off cycles.
• Manage the collection of customer payables and support cash management activities.
• Investigate and resolve settlement-related inquiries and payment discrepancies.
• Maintain operational controls, logs, and key settlement records.
• Review and maintain settlement instructions, member account details, and wire transfer routing information.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and operational standards.
• Partner with teams across Mastercard to provide settlement expertise and operational support.
• Analyze data and develop reports that support business decision-making.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and challenge the status quo.
• Drive efficiency initiatives through automation, simplification, and innovation.
• Participate in and coordinate projects that enhance settlement operations and customer experience.
• Leverage analytical tools and reporting solutions to investigate and resolve cash differences.
What We're Looking For
• Knowledge of accounting principles, treasury operations, cash management, or payment processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Comfort working with desktop applications and data/reporting tools.
