At National Grid Ventures Interconnectors, we're helping to deliver a cleaner, greener future by connecting the UK's energy system with our European neighbours.
As we continue to grow our portfolio of innovative energy projects, we're developing the next generation of interconnectors that combine offshore wind generation with international electricity connections. One of these projects is LionLink – a pioneering partnership between National Grid and Dutch transmission system operator TenneT. Designed to connect offshore wind between the UK and the Netherlands, LionLink has the potential to provide enough clean electricity to power around 2.5 million British homes.
