Independently analyze foreign interests, collaborations, affiliations, etc. in conflict disclosures to facilitate research security determinations in accord with federal regulations, state law, and ABOR and University policies, including identification of foreign influence, data integrity, and cybersecurity concerns. Implement and oversee research security mitigation plans required by research sponsors to address foreign interests, collaborations, affiliations, etc. to evaluate and ensure adherence to professional and legal standards. Prepare cybersecurity questionnaires and ensure cybersecurity plans are appropriately implemented to provide comprehensive support for the university’s compliance and regulatory affairs program. Vet potential foreign collaborations, affiliations, etc. Prepare high-level compliance reports and presentation materials for senior management and provide actionable insights. Provide expert guidance on policy interpretation, regulatory frameworks, and disclosures. Mentor junior staff and student workers to support professional development and ensure consistency in the execution of departmental responsibilities. Facilitate outreach and training to the campus community. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of electronic systems, including knowledge of system design, testing and implementation. Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to independently apply polices and procedures to varying fact patterns. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a professional manner to various stakeholders, including leadership and individuals outside of the University. Ability to work independently and cooperatively.
