About the role:  In partnership with a Leave Management vendor, supports the administration of employee leaves in accordance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Contributes to The People Office (TPO) Operations processes by helping ensure a positive employee experience throughout the leave lifecycle while maintaining compliance and operational effectiveness. Supports leave administration activities by partnering with employees, managers, Human Resources, payroll, and vendors to facilitate timely and accurate leave management.

What you will be doing:

This role supports operational delivery within the U.S. Leave Administration function and contributes to departmental objectives through effective case management and employee support. Administers leave processes and works with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing of leave-related activities. Analyzes routine and moderately complex leave requests while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Responds to employee and management inquiries, assists in resolving leave administration issues, and supports ongoing process improvements.

Develops knowledge of leave legislation, company policies, and operational processes while working independently on routine matters and escalating more complex situations as appropriate.

Experienced individual contributor role requiring practical leave administration experience and strong customer service skills. Operates with limited supervision while partnering with stakeholders to support effective leave management outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partner with leave vendors to support accurate administration of employee leaves and related documentation.

• Review and process leave requests in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

• Coordinate leave administration activities with employees, managers, payroll, HR partners, and vendors.

• Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding leave programs and processes.

• Monitor leave cases and ensure timely communication and case updates.

• Support administration of FMLA, medical, personal, military, parental, disability, and other leave programs.

• Coordinate with vendors regarding Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and Workers' Compensation claims.

• Assist with return-to-work activities and leave closure processes.

• Identify trends and recommend process improvements to enhance service delivery.

• Maintain accurate records, case documentation, and compliance standards.

• Serve as a resource for leave-related questions from employees and managers.

What you will need:

  • You must have a minimum of 3-5 years of applicable experience to be successful in this role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Knowledge of leave administration processes and applicable employment laws. Working knowledge of FMLA, disability programs, and leave management practices.
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and case management systems.
