Analytics Consulting Manager

This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working as per respective team's arrangement.

Analytics Consulting Manager
We will count on you to:
In this role, you will analyze claims, identify trends, and estimate future costs for clients.
You will design effective and efficient reports and data analytics to support projects. This includes collecting, analyzing, and interpreting life, disability, and healthcare data, and summarizing it in report format. You will provide insights and recommendations prepared specifically for clients.
You will support flexible benefit plans by assisting with client demos, feasibility studies, pricing, employee focus groups, and communication. Additionally, you will understand client HR needs, address queries, and prepare presentation material.
You will maintain relationships with clients and communicate and negotiate with them and internal parties regarding turnaround time, depth of analysis, expectations, and data requirements.
You will actively participate in the design of Flexible Benefits plans to develop the most suitable set of benefits based on clients' needs. This includes participating in implementation discussions with the implementation team to understand the IT logic and concerns behind the scenes. Additionally, you will compile in-house benefits data and prepare biannual EH&B reports.
You will independently handle new and renewed clients, with your work reviewed by the consulting leader. This includes initiating project work, assisting in client presentations, participating in renewals, and actively participating in client meetings.
Works closely with Client Executives from broking and business development teams to support client retention and new business production.
Lead and guide junior analysts in the team as part of the leadership development in your career with Mercer Marsh Benefits Consulting team.
What you need to have:
Minimum of 4 years in a general (re)insurance analytical/actuarial/statistical role, with Degree in business, commerce, finance, actuarial studies or math/statistics.
Experience in a group benefits or financial analytical role, with a strong emphasis on analytical and mathematical skills.
Confidence in conducting client meetings and to manage clients’ expectations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain and present technical terms in layman terms to clients, translating clients or broking teams’ needs into the project scope, lead in employees’ communication sessions etc.
Extensive expertise in MS Excel and proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
