Budgeting</strong></p> <ul> <li>Oversee the Marketplace financial planning &amp; budgeting cycles, in collaboration with Merchant Analytics</li> <li>Ensuring that the correct forecasting methodologies are applied to all metrics</li> <li>Ensure that strategic &amp; operational plans are correctly reflected into the financial plan</li> </ul> <p><strong>-Team Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage a small team of analysts who will support with these responsibilities</li> <li>Prioritise deliverables for the team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders across the business</li> <li>Provide meaningful technical guidance on solution architecture, tooling choices, modelling approaches, and best practices — including the application of <strong>agentic AI solutions</strong> where appropriate</li> </ul> <p><strong>-Performance Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop a root-cause understanding of performance by looking at seller acquisition, cohort analysis, liquidity and other platform related metrics;</li> <li>Develop a category level understanding of performance and ensure that the corrective actions being executed on by the Commercial teams</li> <li>Performance adhoc analysis as required to support the Commercial &amp; Operations teams</li> <li>Work with BI developers to define and govern Looker reporting requirements, and oversee the internal development of Looker dashboards for commercial Marketplace teams</li> </ul> <p><strong>-Drive Business Improvement/Optimisation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Optimise the Marketplace charging model to maintain healthy profitability and variable cost recovery, while stimulating growth in strategic categories.</li> <li>Manage the holistic commercial programmes which drive seller engagement, growth and quality through scoring/measurement, education and incentives.</li> </ul> <p><strong>-Fees &amp; Billing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform manual charging where necessary and ensure that all incentive rebates, fee reversals, excemptions or escalations are correctly applied.</li> </ul> <p><strong>-Automation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain the current automated workflow set within Knime (execution scheduling, load balancing, server monitoring &amp; workflow upgrade or deprecation as needed)</li> <li>Own the implementation of new workflows using group SDLC best practice</li> <li>ETL workflow automation for operational SOP implementation across seller SLA enforcement, stock-loss payments, purchase order management, return dispute processing, seller appeals, and other operations processes</li> <li>Analytical and technical support for the Seller Support (Customer Service) team</li> <li>Replenishment limiting logic and tooling for 3+ million products across 3 national warehouses</li> <li>Dead stock identification and clearance processes</li> <li>Warehouse capacity forecasting and dynamic management</li> <li>Key line identification, availability monitoring and management</li> <li>Salesforce integration for commercial and operational use cases</li> </ul> <p>-<strong>Documentation &amp; Governance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Enforce a culture of clear, thorough, and up-to-date documentation across all team projects, tools, workflows, and processes</li> <li>Ensure documentation standards support knowledge retention, onboarding of new team members, and business continuity</li> <li>Maintain oversight of data quality, analytical accuracy, and the integrity of all team outputs</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science and Economics</li> <li>5+ years’ experience in analytics, management consulting</li> <li>Experience in retail, ecommerce, platform/marketplace is beneficial</li> <li>Advanced SQL and advanced Excel skills are non-negotiable</li> <li>Experience with these tools is preferred, but not required: Knime, Bigquery, R, Python, Google Sheets and Qlikview / QlikSense.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Attributes required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven ability of working with complex commercial concepts such as platform charging model optimisation, retail pricing strategies, stock management and ecommerce metrics such as visits, pageviews and conversion rates.</li> <li>Highly capable of working with large and complex data sets using appropriate tools.</li> <li>Strong prioritisation and stakeholder management skills to be able to effectively manage a small team in a high pressure environment with multiple complex deliverables</li> <li>Systems thinker with the ability to understand and break down complex problems and relationships</li> <li>Good communications skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.</li> <li>Fast learner and ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment</li> <li>Creative and practical problem-solving skills.
