This role requires a "hands-on" analyst who is technically proficient in data visualization and maintenance, data management with commercial acumen. The incumbent will work closely with APAC regional and local market teams to operate functional Tableau dashboards and excel based reports, ensure data accuracy across systems (COGNOS, Salesforce, Data Lake), and support the wider business in adopting a data-driven culture.

 

Scope:

This role supports the following key programs and analytical functional areas for the APAC region:

  • APAC Commercial BI Operations: execute the development, enhancement, and maintenance of regional analytics platforms (e.g., CV Portal), manage change requests and user issue resolution, collaborate with Global IT for timely BI delivery, and prepare monthly management reports including the APAC Balanced Scorecard, Head of Sales Scorecard, etc. Ensure all market data and reports requests meet agreed SLAs timely and accurately.
  • BI Governance & Reporting Standards: Assist in the regional initiative to standardize reports. This involves cataloging reports in Collibra, performing quality assurance checks, and ensuring local markets adhere to defined data definitions.
  • Customer Master Data Management (CDM): Execute daily customer data operations, ensuring customer records are created and updated accurately across APAC markets to maintain a clean customer master database.
  1. Commercial BI Platform Execution
  • Build interactive Tableau dashboards based on requirements provided by the commercial and sales teams.
  • Act as the primary business point of contact for the CV Portal operation, Data Cube, handling BI user access and troubleshooting data discrepancies.
  • Provide timely data and report operational support via COGNOS for APAC markets, ensuring data is delivered on time per defined timelines.

 

  1. BI Harmonization & Governance Support
  • Execute the consolidation of local market reports into regional standards, ensuring data consistency. Maintain the data integrity of the commercial data cube to enable commercial analytics using standardized BI tools.
  • Execute replacing manual Excel reports with automated dashboards and execute these improvements to save time and simplify the reporting processes.
  • Update and maintain the Collibra report catalog to ensure all data assets are documented and searchable under APAC data/report governance framework.

 

  1. Customer Master Data Management (CDM)
  • Process customer data updates and validate new customer creations in the master data system (CDM) according to APAC CDM Target Operating Model (TOM)
  • Generate routine data quality reports to identify and fix errors in customer records (e.g., duplicates, missing fields).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Technical BI Skills: Proficiency in Tableau BI, MS Excel (advanced formulas, Power Pivots). Working knowledge of data extraction tools (COGNOS) and basic SQL.
  • Clear Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical colleagues in sales or marketing.
  • Attention to Detail: High standard for accuracy, particularly when handling master data and financial reporting numbers.

 

Experience:

  • 2 - 3 years of work experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a commercial support role.
  • Required: Proven hands-on experience creating dashboards and reports 
  • Experience working with data from multiple sources (e.g., combining sales data with customer data).

     

 

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.

     

 

Work Environment:

This is a full-time, office-based role in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

Travel:

This role requires approximately 10% travel within the APAC region for training and project support.
