The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Lead to manage development of regional/global applications
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
  • Write excellent-quality code based on functional requirements, while meeting agile implementation deadlines.
  • Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects
  • Contribute to concept models, design and system architectures
  • Build, deploy, and test application components in a development environment during the implementation phase working with all layers of the application stac
  • Providing expertise in technical analysis and solving technical issues during project delivery
  • Maintain application hygiene and address any Risk & Control items
  • Manage Senior Stake holders and always communicate effectively and professionally
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Operational users / Product mangers to deliver projects
  • Provide technical and functional expertise to the team
  • Mentor and Coach junior team members
  • Work proactively & independently to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address project delivery risks
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Recommended Qualifications:

  • Java Developer with 13+ years of experience in designing, developing, and leading enterprise-grade applications. Strong expertise in modern Java technologies, cloud platforms, CI/CD, monitoring tools, and people management. 
  • Strong Technical leadership, team mentoring, architectural decisions, and driving best practices in software development.
  • Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Expertise in CI/CD automation, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.                        
  • Expertise in unit and integration testing frameworks
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • Expertise in SQL Server, including database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, MQ) for event-driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of API security (OAuth2, JWT, SSO) and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
