Your New Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and analytical AdTech Systems Analyst to join our Converged Advertising & Linear Systems team. This position provides high-quality, timely Tier 2 support for numerous critical Media Scheduling and Ad Sales applications used by our teams in the WBD globally. As a key member of the team, you will analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application issues, manage incidents from report to resolution, and act as a subject matter expert for our core Ad Sales and Research user groups. This role requires excellent customer service, strong multitasking abilities, and the technical acumen to ensure the stability and reliability of our business-critical systems.

Your Role Accountabilities:

Application & Production Support

• Own and manage the incident lifecycle for critical business applications, providing expert-level 2 technical support from initial triage in ServiceNow to resolution.

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for complex issues and coordinate with development teams to implement long-term solutions.

• Triage and prioritize production issues based on business impact, ensuring adherence to published Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Serve as the primary support contact for a portfolio of vendor-developed and in-house Ad Sales applications.

• Work directly with the Development & IT Infrastructure teams to diagnose and resolve application performance problems.

• Provide on-call support, including evenings and weekends, for critical production issues and scheduled releases as part of a team rotation.

System Maintenance & Enhancement

• Proactively monitor application servers and services to ensure performance, stability, and minimize service interruptions.

• Ensure the successful completion of scheduled jobs (e.g., SSIS packages, cron jobs) and escalate complex discrepancies to the team lead.

• Manage and execute application configuration changes to support infrastructure enhancements and strategic initiatives like new network launches.

• Perform configuration management for the implementation of new system functionality into production environments.

• Support the implementation of application patches and releases, including pre- and post deployment validation.

• Develop and execute IT test plans, and coordinate system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed.

• Provide technical support and coordination for the QA environment to facilitate robust testing efforts.

• Review and respond to system audit alerts in a timely and compliant manner.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a key technical liaison, communicating issue status, resolution plans, and system updates to all stakeholders, from end-users to senior leadership.

• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business customers to build deep domain expertise and ensure IT-business alignment.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on assigned applications by assimilating system knowledge from technical specs and requirements documentation.

• Provide system expertise and support to the IT training team for new employee onboarding and ongoing training initiatives.

• Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve complex business or systems issues.

• Provide functional business expertise on IT projects to ensure objectives are met.

IT Governance & Compliance

• Apply a strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to all support and project activities.

• Participate in technical design reviews, representing production support to ensure operational readiness and supportability are built into new solutions.

• Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation and procedures that define application operability and system administration tasks.

• Ensure all application changes and support activities are compliant with WBD’s SDLC, ITIL, SOX, and Internal Audit requirements.

• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experiences:

Core Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in a Tier 2 Application Support role.

• Experience in the Broadcast/Media industry.

• Experience supporting enterprise-level Media Scheduling, Traffic or Ad Sales systems.

• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.

• Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural, virtual teams.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset and a high level of accuracy.

• A quick learner with the ability to interpret technical documentation to resolve issues.

• Exceptional multitasking skills with a proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple high priority tickets simultaneously.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in writing, modifying, and executing SQL queries on Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.

• Proficiency with at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automating routine tasks.

• Experience with IT Service Management tools, particularly ServiceNow.

• Experience with Windows Server monitoring and cloud platforms (AWS preferably), including core compute, storage, and monitoring services.

• Proficiency in MS Office & Google Suite products, especially advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, v-lookups, debugging formulas).

• Hands-on exposure / Familiarity with automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Make, N8N.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specific knowledge of Media Scheduling or Ad Sales / Traffic applications, or equivalent application, is a strong plus.

• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, SOX) and SDLC methodologies.

• Strong Generative AI tools knowledge to accelerate troubleshooting, generate scripts, or create documentation. Capacity of applying AI for IT Operations concepts for automation, proactive monitoring, anomaly detection, or predictive analytics.
