Apprentice SENA Network Analyst

About the Business Area/Department: 

The Cloud Foundation Solutions – Communication Services (CFS–CSV) team is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network and connectivity services that enable reliable communication across Amadeus’ global infrastructure. 

This includes managing enterprise networking components such as routing and switching, load balancing (e.g., F5), and connectivity across data centers and cloud environments (AWS, Azure). The team ensures secure, high-performance communication between systems, applications, and users, supporting both internal operations and customer-facing platforms. 

CFS–CSV plays a key role in ensuring operational stability, scalability, and seamless communication across hybrid and cloud-native environments. 

This position is to be hired under the SENA Apprentice contract. 

Summary of the Internship: 

The Apprentice SENA – Network Analyst within the CFS–CSV team provides hands-on exposure to enterprise communication and networking services in a global environment. The apprentice will support daily network operations while developing core technical knowledge in routing, switching, monitoring, and troubleshooting. 

The role also provides introductory exposure to communication-related technologies such as load balancing and cloud networking, enabling the apprentice to understand how large-scale systems communicate reliably and securely. 

The apprentice will support the Communication Services team in maintaining and improving network connectivity and communication reliability across enterprise and cloud environments. The apprentice will support communication services operations as a junior network contributor, assist engineers in maintaining reliable and secure connectivity, and contribute to documentation, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting tasks 

 

In this role you’ll: 

  • Assist in configuring and maintaining network and communication devices (routers, switches) 

  • Monitor communication flows and network performance using standard tools 

  • Support troubleshooting of connectivity and communication issues 

  • Escalate incidents following defined procedures 

  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on communication infrastructure 

  • Maintain and update documentation (network diagrams, procedures, configurations) 

  • Support validation of changes impacting communication services 

Technologies Used: 

  • Routing and switching technologies (Cisco or similar) 

  • Load balancing (F5 or similar) 

  • Network monitoring and observability tools 

  • Cloud networking (AWS, Azure) 

  • Enterprise communication and connectivity platforms 

Skills you will learn: 

  • Fundamentals of enterprise communication networks 

  • Routing, switching, and connectivity principles 

  • Load balancing and traffic distribution concepts 

  • Cloud networking basics in AWS and Azure

About the Ideal Candidate: 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree, SENA technical or technological in: Network Engineering, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering / IT or related fields 

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, routing, switching) 

  • Foundational knowledge of communication networks (LAN/WAN) 

  • Basic troubleshooting and analytical skills 

  • Familiarity with communication/network tools or labs (preferred) Exposure to Cisco, load balancing, or cloud networking concepts is a plus 

  • Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills 

  • Proactive mindset with curiosity for communication technologies 

  • English proficiency  

  • Teamwork and collaboration mindset 

  • Attention to detail and organization 

  • Ability to follow processes and operational guidelines 

  • Problem-solving mindset
