Role Summary
As a Global Rates Trader on the Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (GFICC) Trading Team, you will collaborate with portfolio managers across regions, our global research team, and the broader trading platform. The team is active in both primary and secondary markets across the curve and sectors. You will originate and execute trade ideas, shape market views, and partner closely with PMs and research to drive investment implementation.
Job Responsibilities
Actively generate, evaluate, and implement investment ideas in partnership with PM teams.
Employ fundamental, technical, and relative valuation analysis to develop differentiated market views and inform portfolio positioning.
Collaborate with portfolio managers and research teams to identify opportunities and contribute to investment decisions.
Demonstrated product expertise across Developed Markets—including Sovereigns, Inflation, Agency, SSA’s, interest rate futures, interest rate swaps, inflation swaps and options.
Adhere to all internal trading policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and risk management.
Present trade ideas, communicate market flows, and provide color and insights to investment teams.
Build and maintain broker relationships; participate in broker performance reviews as needed tribute to
the desk's automation and AI initiatives by identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting the development of more efficient trading and operational workfl
Represent trading capabilities to current and prospective clients, as well as internal stakeholders.
Serve an
ambassador for the Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities trading platform.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Minimum BA/BSc with preference in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Maths.
Minimum 2 years of experience in fixed income trading.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to present findings.
Ability to build and foster relationships both internally and externally.
Highly motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
CFA Charterholder, CFA candidate or MBA preferred
Strong technology skills proficiency in Tradeweb, Bloomberg and Market Axess.
Experience trading government instruments (bonds and derivatives)
Programming experience (Python and/or other languages)
