About the Role

Lead the development and delivery of Data Platforms, analytical dashboards, and AI/ML solutions that drive key business decisions. Oversee the design and maintenance of data models, reporting systems, automation frameworks, and performance metrics. Manage and develop analytics team capabilities while ensuring efficient resource utilization, cost optimization, and continuous improvement of data and analytics operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation activities for critical data platform and reporting issues.
  • Taking technical ownership of AIA Myanmar’s Data Platform including development and support of the BI Dashboards, Data Platform and overseeing the implementation of AI and ML models.
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of our data platform on Microsoft Azure, including data warehouses, data pipelines and data lakes.
  • Develop and maintain platform roadmaps, ensuring data and analytics capabilities support current and future business requirements.
  • Implement data ingestion, processing, and storage to ensure efficient data operations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive and user-friendly BI dashboards using industry-standard tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security with the dashboard environment.
  • Oversee and support the development of advanced AI and ML models to address specific business challenges.
  • Champion data literacy and self-service analytics adoption across the organization through stakeholder engagement, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Implement robust data governance process to maintain the quality of critical data elements and security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with system owners to design and develop APIs and other data services to expose data and insights to business applications.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineers to troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, analytics tools, and AI/ML capabilities to drive innovation and improve business outcomes.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or related data management functions, with demonstrated experience leading analytics or data platform initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms).
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, with hands-on experience or working knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Knowledge of AI and ML techniques, including machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.); exposure to computer vision technologies is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of cloud cost management and resource optimization practices, with the ability to identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and maximize ROI.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-oriented environment.
  • Experience working in Agile, DevOps, or continuous delivery environments is preferred.
