There is no better time to join us!   As an Associate Research Analyst, EMEA Private Capital, you’ll hone your existing analytical skills, develop meaningful insights into a fascinating industry, and contribute to our best-in-class private capital research. The research this team produces is utilized by many of the largest private capital investors, investment banks, and service providers globally. Our team is creative, driven, and focused on providing the most actionable research to our readers and clients. Primary Job Responsibilities: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Provide research support to the EMEA Private Capital team covering alternative investments with an emphasis on venture capital and private equity as well as institutional allocators, global economic conditions, and other relevant spaces</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Help establish research frameworks to provide independent commentary, evaluations, and forecasts around our primary coverage areas, while identifying unique themes that may impact private markets</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Utilise proprietary PitchBook data, online sources, newspapers, academic white papers, public and private company research notes, economic indicator forecasts, etc. to inform and develop actionable analysis</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Write and edit research reports as directed by the research team in accordance with the publishing calendar</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Help manage direct-to-client distribution channels for published notes</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Work closely with the data analysis team and develop a familiarity with PitchBook's unique datasets to support research</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Present, manage, and respond to inquiries from clients, press, internal colleagues, and the general public regarding published research</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Develop and manage relationships with both client and non-client industry professionals to help support primary research efforts</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics preferred, but not essential</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Knowledge of financial concepts such as valuation techniques (DCF, comps, etc.) IRRs, portfolio management, etc.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Strong communication skills, both verbal and written</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Strong interest in private financial markets including private equity and venture capital</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">1+ years of experience in equity research or other related financial services role</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience writing long-form research is a plus</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Critical thinker, detail-oriented, self-starter with an analytical mindset</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and the ability to pick up new systems and software easily</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;
