About the Role
The Associate Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for assisting with creating a secure computing environment that protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction. Working closely with team members, this role supports incident response, security monitoring, and the enforcement of foundational security standards — building the skills and expertise needed to grow within the cybersecurity field.
Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
- Respond to and resolve or escalate reported security incidents in a timely manner, following established procedures and best practices.
- Use security tools and artificial intelligence solutions to identify and resolve security issues with direct oversight from team members, developing hands-on expertise in security operations.
- Assist with monitoring and administering hardware and software solutions that protect or govern the information needs of the organization, with direct oversight from team members.
- Support the team in establishing and enforcing basic security standards across the organization.
- Assist with updating documentation of procedures and instructions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with security standards.
- Assist with recovery procedures for systems to help ensure business continuity and minimize the impact of security incidents.
Role Essentials
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with demonstrated exposure to security tools and concepts in an enterprise IT role.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of basic security fundamentals, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, incident response lifecycles, system operations, and networking concepts.
- Oral and written communication skills with a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others using discretion and tact.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in an Enterprise IT role with demonstrated exposure to security tools and concepts
- COMP TIA Security certification or equivalent experience

- Oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
- Organized and experienced in successfully multi-tasking

- Knowledge of basic security fundamentals, desktop and server support and networking concepts
- Up to 10% travel time required
