Job Description:

Position Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 annually: DOE

Job Description:

Under administrative direction, provides leadership for health and well-being data strategy and assessment across the health and well-being units. Designs and manages data systems to track service utilization, health outcomes, and access trends. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to inform decision-making. Leads implementation and analysis of institutional and national health surveys. Performs statistical analysis and prepares data for compliance, planning, and research. Presents findings to university stakeholders to support student health, retention, and institutional priorities. Alignment with divisional and university priorities. Supervises analyst and project management staff.

Essential Duties:

•Coordinate strategic direction for Health, Counseling, and Wellness’ (HCW) overall approach to analytics and assessment.

•Oversee and manage internal reporting by designing, developing, and maintaining queries, reports, and dashboards across platforms such Point and Click, and other institutional systems.

•Develop strategies to assess and reduce barriers to care based on data insights.

•In collaboration with ASU Principled Innovation, provide oversight of the PACE Lab, a data to action effort to increase student flourishing.

•Contributes to the design and execution of marketing messaging and campaigns surrounding student health and wellbeing.

•Oversight of professional staff, student staff and interns.

•Contribute to grant writing proposals, implementation of deliverables, outcome reporting, and program evaluation.

•Ability to travel to the four ASU campuses within the Phoenix metropolitan area.

•Professionally represent the department/program.

•Work collaboratively across various departments within the University

•Use critical thinking to make decisions and/or analyze data.

•Supervise, train, and develop professional staff and student employees.

•Work as part of a team to support ASU programs and goals.

•Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.

•Perform other duties as assigned.


Desired Qualifications:

•Master’s degree in statistics, data analytics, or related field or PhD in health-related discipline or PhD in assessment.

•Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the design of research projects including, but not limited to data collection, analysis, and presentation.

•Proficiency with data analysis software (SAS, SPSS or similar) and data management software.

•Meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team environment.

•Must meet deadlines and work within a quickly changing environment.

•Knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

•Knowledge of strategic planning concepts.

•Must demonstrate capacity to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive wellbeing data.

•Experience supervising professional staff.

•Experience working within college-age population.

•Experience with Tableau or data presentation/translation software.

Working Environment:

●Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.

●Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.

●Walk throughout campus for meetings or events, regardless of the weather

●Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 35 pounds.

●Regular activities require the ability to be flexible and adapt to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.

●Drive as needed to partner and program event sites. A clean driving record, a valid Arizona driver's license, adequate automobile insurance, and a vehicle driveable for long distances within the Phoenix valley are required. Employees receive travel reimbursement per applicable university policy.

●Use computers effectively - including inputting, reviewing and retrieving information, extended periods of viewing screen, and using mouse and keyboard.

Educational Outreach and Student Services (EOSS) is committed to enrolling all qualified students at Arizona State University and assisting them in their academic success.
