Associate Pricing Analyst

Job Purpose

As an Associate Pricing Analyst, you will support our global Sales teams with pricing administration, reporting, analysis and Sales support. Your role is to help prepare client proposals using agreed pricing processes, tools and guidance. You will work closely with senior team members on more complex opportunities, building the experience, knowledge and skills needed to develop your career in Pricing Operations.

You will be encouraged to look beyond immediate tasks by identifying simple patterns, risks and opportunities in pricing information and escalating these to more senior team members. Your analysis will help support consistent proposal preparation and informed decision-making. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working with data, solving practical problems and developing their understanding of pricing in a global business.

About Sales Operations

The Sales Operations Department provides operational and strategic support to global sales teams and is the critical link between sales and many cross-functional departments. The team works closely with many departments to ensure all activities are completed with a high degree of accuracy. The team has a reputation for high standards and high-quality data provision, and this reputation needs to be maintained at all times.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Support Sales, to build CPQ quotes against sales requirements for client proposals and new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales and internal teams to gather information and support the preparation of clear, data-informed proposal inputs.
• Support the review of client opportunities and pricing information to help ensure proposals follow agreed processes and guidance.
• Prepare reports and presentation materials that summarise pricing information, analysis and key points for review by Sales and Pricing Operations colleagues.
• Develop an understanding of the different service lines that RWS provides, including Language Services, Professional Services and Technology, and support reporting or pricing tasks where requirements and metrics vary by area.

Skills & Experience

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately with pricing, commercial and business data while identifying trends, inconsistencies and potential risks.
• Demonstrates good numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to break down pricing and business information into manageable components and support data-driven decision-making.
• Understands how pricing activities contribute to broader business goals, including market positioning, customer value and profitability.
• Supports pricing discussions by gathering and analysing information on market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements to provide relevant commercial insights.
• Uses available information and sound judgement to complete assigned work accurately, proactively escalating questions, risks, gaps or complex issues when required.
• Capable of translating data, analysis and pricing information into clear, concise and actionable summaries for Sales, Pricing Operations and other business stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high fluency in English and the ability to explain information in a straightforward and professional manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with an interest in developing experience in CRM and CPQ systems such as Salesforce for pricing administration, reporting and analysis; experience with data analysis tools is an advantage.
• Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset by identifying opportunities to enhance pricing processes, reporting, tools and operational efficiency, and sharing ideas with the wider team.
• Works effectively with colleagues across teams and functions, building collaborative relationships to support business priorities and deliver agreed objectives.
• Degree-level education in Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
