About Us
The Department of Epidemiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a clinical interviewer to support the DISCOVERY, a multicenter study funded by NIDDK to study the pathophysiology of youth onset type two diabetes. The position includes assisting with recruitment and retention of study participants.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment of participants into study utilizing both Spanish and English skills
Administer consent forms and questionnaires
Maintain data base of information such as enrollment, participants interview etc
Assist PI in generating reports from the study
Assist with community outreach
Schedule appointments and make appointment reminder calls
Must be organized, a good speaker and attentive listener; computer literate, assist with data entry and reports; capable of walking, standing and climbing stairs; knowledgeable of the Bronx neighborhoods and mass transportation.
Flexibility in hours and days: Must be flexible with work schedule (including weekdays, evenings and weekends)
Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate plus 6 months - 1 year of clerical experience required.
Experience in working with families and children is preferred

Skills and Competencies
Must be able to communicate well with others.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook. May use other web-based programs as assigned;
Must possess strong customer service, communication and organizational skills
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rates for this are listed below. This rate is based on the 1199 bargaining unit contract.
