Through daily walk throughs, active engagement and participation in the Safety Counsel, this individual will ensure employee compliance and that safety checks are being performed.</span></span></span></span></p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>Roles and Responsibilities</b></u></H2> </div><div><ul> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Review, implement, organize, present, and audit all Ryerson EHS policies as well as state and federal environmental compliance.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Oversee employee policy compliance which includes but is not limited to; reviewing site specific policies for accuracies, entering near misses, daily safety checks and walkthroughs, reviewing and following through on action items.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Schedule any repairs of safety equipment as needed to uphold safety standards and ensure proper maintenance. </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Site evaluations to monitor and sample air and storm water as well as paint emissions reports. </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Maintain RCRA (Resource Conservation &amp; Recovery Act) to ensure proper disposal of chemicals.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Schedule and maintain various inspections such as fire alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, etc. </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Ensure all monthly site-specific training is prepared and completed. </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Conduct reviews of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) โ€“ verification of all authorized users along with review of all written programs.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Conduct forklift training for new hires and maintain a log to ensure recertifications are complete in a timely manner.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.</span></span></li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>Requirements</b></u></H2> </div><div><ul style="list-style-type:square;margin-bottom:11.0px"> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">High school diploma or GED required </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">BA/BS degree in environment, health and safety or related field highly preferred </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Minimum 3-5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Knowledge of OSHA/ISO policies </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Certified in CPR/First Aid</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Experience or certificate in conducting job safety analysis, accident analysis </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Experience with OSHA record keeping </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">OSHA 511 Certified is considered an asset </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:11.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Certified Forklift &amp;
