Job Description

🚀 What You’ll Do

  • Run lab-scale cell culture experiments (shake flask → fed-batch bioreactors → harvest)
  • Support cell bank characterization and bioprocess development activities
  • Perform affinity chromatography and viral inactivation workflows
  • Execute cell banking activities in a regulated (cGLP) environment
  • Partner with scientists to plan and schedule lab studies
  • Analyze experimental data and support technical reports for regulatory/commercial use
  • Present findings in team and cross-functional meetings
  • Provide on-the-floor support to Manufacturing (troubleshooting + process improvements)

🧪 What You Bring

  • Hands-on experience (academic or industry) with:
    • Cell culture
    • Basic lab techniques and instrumentation
  • Familiarity with biologics or antibody manufacturing processes (a plus)
  • Strong data analysis skills (Excel required; stats exposure helpful)
  • Comfortable using:
    • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences required - Chemistry or Biochemistry majors preferred. 
  • Cell culture experience and competence required. 
  • Must have the availability to begin working full time as soon as possible. 
  • Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply.

Additional Information

  • Position is full-time, first-shift, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. 

  • Pay: $22.50 - $23.50/hour
