Biomedical Engineer

C-Care also owns and manages C-Care Clinic and C-Lab.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">C-Care is currently looking for a Biomedical Engineer at C-Care Darné.</p><div><br></div><div><strong>Role Purpose</strong></div><div>Responsible for maintaining, servicing, calibrating all medical equipments. Training the users.</div><div>Responsible for maintaining and implementing the departmental Policy and Procedures together with assigned clinical duties</div><div><br></div><div><strong><u>What you will be doing:&nbsp;</u></strong></div><ul><li>Support the manager and team in the day to day activities &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Attending breakdown calls and give first level service on medical equipment breakdown</li><li>Proceed promptly with repairs after obtaining quotations and approval &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Perform preventive maintenance and adhere to preventive maintenance schedule &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Assist the service engineers during the breakdowns and preventive maintenance on medical equipments&nbsp;</li><li>Perform daily rounds and spot checks on medical equipment &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Be available for overtime / extra work in case of emergencies &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Update History cards and file the service reports on proper files &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Maintain equipment inventory list &nbsp;</li><li>Get quotes, prepare PO for repairs and get it approved from the manager &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Send PO to the suppliers, follow up, install and complete the breakdown once received</li><li>Maintain Breakdown log book regularly &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Proper follow up on spares orders, equipment breakdown and update it regularly with the superior &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Carrying out quality assurance checks to ensure all equipment are working correctly and safely &nbsp;</li><li>Participating in equipment acquisition, installation, implementation and training</li><li>Meets Biomedical operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing &nbsp; production, productivity, quality, and patient-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Facilitating equipment transfer from one clinic to another &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Arrange standby equipment when needed &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Arrange for accessories for equipment when requested by user</li><li>Liaise with Pharmacy for any information required on stock of consumables, and arrange for the same when requested by user on emergency basis</li><li>Meeting HOD's regularly and ensure the smooth operation &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Assist the manager for Capex budget preparation, receive quotes, comparison, getting users approval and release PO to the suppliers &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Follow up and tracking of capex orders and ensure equipment delivery on time &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Ensure new equipment are properly comissioned and handed over to the respective department &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Liaise with Finance dept to help ensure payments of orders to suppliers when required</li><li>Assist and ensure site preparation, installation, training and operation &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Assisting in the writing/review and implementation of policies and procedures for the smooth running of the department &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure procedures and protocols are in place for CHKS and regular audits</li><li>Assist the manager and ensure radiation safety in place, installation, Site preparation and other related activites</li><li>Assist the manager on all new projects - budget preparation,site preparation, installation and training</li><li>Condemnation committee - Identify items for scrap, submit the list and dispose after approval</li><li>Assist and prepare for Biomedical committee - &nbsp;organise the committee, medical equipment capex - opex updates, updates on breakdowns and CQIs raised, and other related activities as per TOR</li><li>Testing medical equipments with calibrated analysers and &nbsp;do Risk assessment with that</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong><u>What are we looking for?</u></strong></div><ul><li>Bachelor or master’s in Biomedical engineering with Administration knowledge</li><li>Minimum 2 years of relevant experience</li><li>Knowledge and Technical Competencies in troubleshooting and maintenance of medical equipment</li><li>Punctuality, Attitude, Precision &amp; Responsible</li></ul>
