Description

Devereux CT is seeking a passionate and innovative Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to play a key leadership role in the development and operation of two brand new DDS-funded programs:

  • An adult residential program supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • A specialized 3-bed Intensive Stabilization and Transition Program designed to provide short-term, high-impact behavioral intervention that helps individuals avoid psychiatric hospitalization or successfully transition home from higher levels of care

This is a rare opportunity for a BCBA who wants more than a traditional clinical role. From day one, you will help build systems, shape clinical practices, develop treatment approaches, and create a program culture centered on positive outcomes, family partnership, and meaningful quality of life.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

Be Part of the Beginning

Rather than stepping into an established program, you'll help design and refine services from the ground up. Your expertise will directly influence program development, clinical practices, staff training, treatment planning, and outcomes.

Lead Clinical Innovation

You'll have the autonomy to develop individualized interventions, implement evidence-based practices, and create meaningful programming focused on communication, adaptive behavior, emotional regulation, and community success.

National Clinical Support

While you'll enjoy significant clinical leadership locally, you won't be doing it alone. You'll collaborate with Devereux's network of BCBAs, psychologists, psychiatrists, clinical leaders, and subject matter experts across the country. This unique combination of center ownership and national support creates exceptional opportunities for professional growth and innovation.

Low Caseloads, High Impact

Our model is intentionally designed to allow BCBAs to provide high-quality clinical services. With low caseloads and a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team, you'll have the opportunity to spend your time on assessment, treatment development, coaching, family engagement, and meaningful clinical outcomes.

Work Directly with Families

Families are essential partners in our programs. You'll work closely with caregivers to build skills, increase confidence, support successful transitions home, and create sustainable behavior support strategies that extend beyond the treatment setting.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and other clinical evaluations
  • Develop and oversee individualized Positive Behavior Support Plans
  • Design interventions that promote meaningful communication, adaptive behavior, independence, and quality of life
  • Monitor treatment progress through data-based decision making
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to direct support professionals
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, speech-language specialists, and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Partner with families throughout assessment, treatment, and discharge planning
  • Support community integration and successful transitions to less restrictive environments
  • Contribute to program development, quality improvement initiatives, and emerging best practices

Pay:

  • Annual base pay starting at $ 77,162.09
  • Experience credit applied in addition to base pay capping out at $88,425.00

Benefits & Rewards:

  • 24 vacation days (increases with years of service)
  • 8 sick days
  • Quality low cost benefits (you can view our plans by visiting https://benefits.devereux.org)
  • 403(b) plan with employer match/contribution
