About the role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our broader POS & Payments team who support several applications that assist our team in providing the best experience to our customers. Your role will have a direct impact on the work our team do in store on a day-to-day basis.
As a Business Analyst (BA), you will facilitate valuable change to your team and the business, by understanding and analysing the existing business processes, products, services, and systems, identifying the business and customer needs and helping to drive solutions to promote improvement and efficiencies.
You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders and delivery squads to define requirements and solutions to ensure the successful delivery of products/services within your team.
What's involved:
Elicit business and customer needs through the discovery process with stakeholders
Analyse, create, maintain, and communicate requirements artefacts in the form of Epics and User Stories to scope business rules, process, interaction, and information flow
Identify any risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
Support to facilitate interaction with the delivery team to drive solution, estimation, prioritisation, and planning
Support and guide Product Owners through the end-to-end discovery and delivery process
Support the delivery teams by clarifying requirements and contribute to the management of defects, risks, and enhancements throughout the delivery
Contribute to practice and craft of Business Analysis and championing this role amongst the wider business
Who we’re looking for:
You enjoy working in an agile, outcome-driven team, are self-motivated, enthusiastic and project driven. Your requirements elicitation, analysis and validation of business needs of stakeholders, customers and end users has led to success across your career.
You possess commercial acumen, entrepreneurial flare, exceptional demonstrated stakeholder management and time management skills.
You are a creative and strong communicator (both verbally and written) who is passionate about meeting the project’s needs.
You’ll need:
Demonstrated experience in Business Analysis (or equivalent experience)
Experience in eliciting requirements and creating business requirements documents
Experience with structured analysis of business models, process models, data models and workflow models ideally in the context of mobile applications
Ability to break down large pieces of work into manageable stories for team members to work through
Jira, Confluence & Miro experience (or alternative story management and workflow management platforms).
API & integration literacy
Experience in working within an agile delivery best practice alongside delivery teams (Behaviour driven development, discovery to delivery, facilitation, etc.).
Experience in workshop facilitation
Experience in retail
