Areas of Responsibility:

  • Understand business requirements and translate them into clear functional requirements and specifications.
  • Elicit business requirements directly from stakeholders or from documented business requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and JAD sessions to clarify requirements and ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Understand the business need behind requests and challenge requirements where appropriate to identify better solutions.
  • Identify and document functional and non-functional requirements, including user stories, UI requirements, system interfaces, processing requirements, and configuration requirements.
  • Perform formal modelling to support solution definition and detailed requirements gathering.
  • Document functional requirements using approved standards and tools.
  • Identify dependencies and involve relevant teams and domains required for successful solution delivery.
  • Define key test cases and acceptance criteria for functional requirements.
  • Validate requirements with business and development teams to ensure alignment.
  • Ensure solution architecture is aligned with business and functional requirements.
  • Support and defend business requirements throughout technical design and implementation.
  • Develop templates for localisation, configuration, reference data, and rule definitions.
  • Support project planning by providing estimates for business analysis activities.
  • Coordinate activities between clients, business stakeholders, and development teams.
  • Facilitate requirement sessions and support effective project communication.
  • Identify and manage scope changes to help prevent scope creep.
  • Follow the defined SDLC, business analysis processes, tools, and workflows.
  • Understand the distinction between business, functional, and non-functional requirements and ensure effective implementation.

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and functional requirements development.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to elicit, analyse, validate, document, and manage business requirements.
  • Experience in developing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong process mapping and analytical skills.
  • Exposure to BPMN 2.0 and UML modelling.
  • Understanding of data modelling and use-case modelling.
  • Exposure to Web Services and system interfaces.
  • Experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar requirements/modelling tools.
  • Understanding of Agile project delivery and SAFe principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams.
  • High standards for delivery with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
