This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, customer experience, and technology, translating complex business needs into scalable and high-performing eCommerce solutions. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Engineers, and client stakeholders to deliver impactful digital commerce experiences. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Shopify, Adobe Commerce (Magento), or other enterprise commerce platforms, combined with a strong understanding of UX, analytics, and conversion optimization. Please note, we are only accepting applicants from the provinces of Ontario and Québec for this role. For Québec-based candidates, fluency in English is necessary because the position entails collaboration with teams based in the rest of Americas and occasionally in Europe. <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2> <h3>🔹 Business Analysis & Delivery</h3> <ul> <li>Lead requirements gathering, discovery sessions, and stakeholder workshops</li> <li>Translate business needs into user stories, epics, process flows, and functional specifications</li> <li>Ensure requirements meet Definition of Ready (DoR) before development handoff</li> <li>Manage requirements traceability and alignment across project lifecycle</li> <li>Conduct gap analysis, feasibility assessments, and impact analysis</li> </ul> <hr> <h3>🔹 eCommerce & Digital Experience</h3> <ul> <li>Analyze and optimize end-to-end customer journeys across eCommerce platforms</li> <li>Define solutions leveraging Shopify, Adobe Commerce, and related ecosystem tools</li> <li>Support replatforming initiatives (e.g. Shopify migrations) and site redesigns</li> <li>Collaborate with UX/UI teams on experience optimization and conversion improvements</li> <li>Translate business requirements into commerce features (catalog, checkout, promotions, search, personalization)</li> </ul> <hr> <h3>🔹 Data, Performance & Optimization</h3> <ul> <li>Leverage analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to monitor performance and identify opportunities</li> <li>Define and track KPIs (conversion, revenue, AOV, etc.)</li> <li>Support A/B testing, SEO, personalization, and CRO initiatives</li> <li>Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders</li> </ul> <hr> <h3>🔹 Collaboration & Consulting</h3> <ul> <li>Act as a bridge between business, product, and engineering teams</li> <li>Partner with Solution Architects to align business requirements with technical feasibility</li> <li>Facilitate Agile ceremonies (grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives)</li> <li>Support client conversations and provide consultative guidance on eCommerce best practices</li> <li>Contribute to strategic initiatives and digital commerce roadmaps</li> </ul> <h2>Must-Have Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>4–6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in digital or eCommerce environments</li> <li>Strong experience with Shopify (preferred) and/or Adobe Commerce (Magento)</li> <li>Proven experience in: <ul> <li>Requirements gathering and documentation</li> <li>User stories & backlog management</li> <li>Stakeholder workshops and facilitation</li> </ul> </li> <li>Solid understanding of: <ul> <li>eCommerce operations (catalog, checkout, payments, promotions)</li> <li>Customer experience (UX/UI and conversion optimization)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments</li> <li>Strong communication skills with ability to interact with technical and business stakeholders</li> <li>Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions</li> </ul> <hr> <h2> Nice-to-Have</h2> <ul> <li>Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud (Analytics, Target, AEM, etc.)</li> <li>Exposure to headless commerce or composable architectures</li> <li>Familiarity with search and discovery tools (Algolia, Bloomreach, Coveo, etc.)</li> <li>Experience in consulting environments or client-facing roles</li> <li>Knowledge of multi-market / international eCommerce operations</li> <li>Familiarity with CRM, paid media, and digital marketing ecosystems</li> </ul> If you do not meet all the listed qualifications or have gaps in your experience, we still encourage you to apply. The offered salary range is 90.000-120.000 CAD annually, depending on experience and location.  Valtech offers a comprehensive benefits package effective after three months of continuous service: <ul> <li>A comprehensive insurance plan, where you can choose the module that best suits your needs—Gold, Silver, or Bronze. The employer may contribute up to 80% of your coverage depending on the selected module.
