About the Position

In this role, you will be responsible for...

Project Coordination & Technical Leadership:

  • Support software implementation projects, system upgrades, and enhancements while keeping projects on track and stakeholders informed.

  • Coordinate testing activities with business partners, vendors, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Gather business requirements, facilitate stakeholder meetings, and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency.

  • Partner with management to prioritize system enhancements, resolve issues, and support project planning.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between users, IT staff, and vendors to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.

Quality Assurance & Application Support:

  • Develop and execute test plans, user acceptance testing (UAT), and other quality assurance activities to ensure reliable system performance.

  • Analyze business processes, document requirements, and validate system functionality against business needs.

  • Troubleshoot application issues, support enterprise systems, and collaborate with technical teams on enhancements and defect resolution.

  • Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, reports, and data validation tools to support ongoing operations.

  • Provide production support, including participation in an on-call rotation, while staying current on industry trends and best practices.

Partnerships, Customer Service, & Training:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting users with application support, troubleshooting, and process guidance.

  • Train and support end users and staff on system functionality, business processes, and testing procedures.

  • Build strong working relationships with internal departments, external partners, and software vendors.

  • Learn and understand customer operations to identify opportunities for improved system performance and user experience.

  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives that support departmental and organizational goals.

About the Schedule

Work Hours:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.

  • Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (no weekends!)

As a reminder, all county employees are considered essential and must be prepared to protect and support the community and its citizens. Each employee, without exception, will have a duty assignment and be required to work during a disaster or declared emergency.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field with 2+ years of related experience.

  • OR: 6+ years of professional job-related experience may substitute for formal education at the discretion of management.

NOTE: 30 college credits are considered equivalent to one year of college.

The ideal candidate has the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, quality assurance, software testing, or enterprise application support.

  • Experience gathering business requirements, supporting software implementations, and improving business processes.

  • Working knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, and software testing methodologies, including user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Familiarity with government software platforms (such as Accela), ITIL practices, or change management principles is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Physical Demands: Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.

About Everything Else

Starting Pay Range: $64,812.80 (minimum) up to $87,526.40 (midpoint)
