Business Analyst- Direct to Consumer

The primary role of Direct to Consumer (DTC) Senior Business Analyst function is to analyze, design, implement and maintain IT applications based on business requirements across Direct to Consumer, eCommerce and Retail business functionalities. Key deliverables include participating in projects related to DTC, eCommerce and Retail business applications, providing inputs, assistance, and reviews in complex application solutions. Working closely with key stakeholders, COEs and other functional teams to define and document technical specifications and schedule.

- The primary objective of DTC Senior Business Analyst specialization within enterprise application team is to analyze complex business problems to be solved through deployment of digital and automation technology solutions.
- Key responsibilities include providing system analysis and application solutions formulating business requirements for system functional specifications; define and document processes, procedures and data flows of business systems; implements systems solutions; plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements; provide consultation to users; lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
- Performs technology solutions in a Direct to Consumer, eCommerce and Retail area of expertise that requires knowledge of fundamental themes, principles and concepts. Typically requires a university degree or equivalent work experience.
- Networks with contacts outside own area of expertise e.g. with Center of Excellence (COEs).
- Leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
- Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
- Frequently leads sub-functional teams or projects and train and mentor junior team members.
- Serves as a best practice resource within own area of work.
- Key point of contact for business Direct to Consumer, eCommerce and Retail areas.
- Diagnose, re-create, and test issues raised
- Ensure all queries are progressed in a timely manner
- Liaise with IT and external support where necessary in relation to user issues
- Support system administration and maintenance activities where required
- Update system documentation and training materials as needed
- Carry out functional testing and coordinate UAT where needed
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
- Exposure to eCommerce platforms, preferably Shopify.
- Applies functional knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems or execute specialized projects.
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
Preferred:
- Good knowledge of direct to consumer, eCommerce and Retail processes.
- Good knowledge of B2C eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or SAP Hybris
- Exposure to ERP (Oracle) and CRM (SFDC) systems.
