A career with EROAD offers the opportunity to work in a fast-growing organisation at the forefront of intelligent transport solutions - enhancing road safety, improving productivity, and reducing environmental impact. Our mission is to deliver intelligence you can trust, for a better world tomorrow.

About the Role

We are expanding our newly formed and very talented BA team and looking for an experienced Salesforce Business Analyst / Functional Consultant to join our IT organisation. This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who brings deep Salesforce platform knowledge and strong business analysis skills, with a clear focus on commercial operations, customer-facing processes, and lead-to-cash outcomes.

This role combines functional consulting with practical business analysis, working as a trusted partner to Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and IT teams. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between commercial business processes and Salesforce platform capability, ensuring our Salesforce environment is configured, optimised, and continuously improved to drive measurable outcomes across lead-to-cash, customer onboarding, account management, and commercial change processes.

The BA / Functional Consultant will work closely with IT leads, business SMEs, and senior stakeholders to formalise requirements, document solutions, and drive successful delivery of Salesforce programmes, releases, and enhancements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional & Platform Leadership

  • Act as the subject matter expert for Salesforce across relevant clouds and functional domains including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud (CPQ/Billing), and relevant integrations.
  • Lead functional design and configuration activities, translating business requirements into Salesforce solutions.
  • Own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle from discovery and documentation through to validation, testing, and delivery.
  • Assess existing Salesforce configurations and business workflows, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Champion process optimisation and continuous improvement across commercial and customer-facing functions, with a focus on reducing manual effort, improving data quality, and driving measurable business outcomes.

Stakeholder & Delivery

  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Operations stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements associated with planned Salesforce projects and enhancements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between business teams and technical or development leads, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce developers, architects, data analysts, and integration specialists to translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
  • Support and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including developing test plans, coordinating test execution, managing defects, and confirming production readiness.
  • Support training, change management, and adoption activities associated with Salesforce releases and enhancements.

Documentation & Governance

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation including business requirements, process maps, user stories, functional specifications, and training materials.
  • Coordinate project activities, track progress, and provide status reporting to project managers and leadership.
  • Work within Agile or SAFe delivery frameworks as required by the programme.
  • Contribute to BA best-practice standards, tools, and documentation approaches across the team.

Health and Safety

  • All of our people have a responsibility for their own and others' safety and wellbeing.
  • This includes following all safety and wellbeing procedures and instructions, reporting hazards, incidents and accidents, and participating in safety and wellbeing initiatives as required.
  • Note: These duties may change from time to time to meet operational or other requirements.

COMPETENCIES

  • Deep functional knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, configuration, and ecosystem.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex commercial and customer-facing processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience facilitating workshops and requirements sessions across Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams.
  • Proven ability to map, challenge, and improve commercial and customer-facing business processes.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex platform and business concepts into clear, actionable documentation that non-technical stakeholders can understand and act on.

SKILLS & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5+ years experience in Salesforce functional consulting or business analysis, with demonstrable hands-on delivery experience across the Salesforce platform. Relevant skills include:

  • Deep hands-on experience across Salesforce clouds. Sales Cloud and Service Cloud are required. Revenue Cloud / CPQ experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience delivering Salesforce implementations, migrations, or significant enhancement programmes in a commercial environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model, automation tools (Flow, Process Builder), and integration patterns.
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ/Billing or Revenue Cloud in a commercial environment is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working across lead-to-cash processes including quoting, order management, billing, and customer account management is highly valued.
  • Expert in requirements gathering, functional design documentation, and UAT coordination.
  • Workshop facilitation experience across Sales, Customer Success, and Finance stakeholders.
  • Solid working knowledge of Agile or SAFe delivery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Jira and standard productivity and AI tools.
  • Experience working in the technology or SaaS industry, or on transformational programmes, is an advantage but not essential.
  • Salesforce certifications are preferred, for example Salesforce Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, or CPQ Specialist. Demonstrated hands-on delivery experience is what matters most.
  • A relevant university degree is required. Formal Business Analysis training or certification is preferred.
