Business Analyst
Job Description
The Business Analyst serves as the bridge between business stakeholders' operational needs and the Process Engineering Team's delivery capability. This role brings deep experience in requirements elicitation, process documentation, and business case developmentâensuring that every engagement is grounded in clear, measurable business problems and aligned with Wynn's strategic priorities. The BA works closely with the Product Manager on intake and prioritization, with the Executive Director on engagement kickoff, and with the Process Engineers throughout delivery to validate that solutions are building the right thing for the business.
What You Own
Demand Identification & Requirements
- Partner with G&A business leaders across Finance, Operations, and other departments to uncover, articulate, and document operational pain points and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct current-state process analysis and interviewsâdocumenting how processes work today, where bottlenecks exist, and where manual work could be reduced or eliminated.
- Translate business problems into clear, measurable requirements before design or build beginsâensuring alignment on what success looks like.
- Develop business cases that quantify the value of proposed solutionsâarticulating hours saved, error reduction, risk mitigation, and cost avoidance in terms business leadership understands.
- Document discovery findings and present business case recommendations to the Product Manager and the VP for prioritization and intake.
Requirements & Process Documentation
- Create detailed process flow diagrams documenting both current-state and future-state operationsâat a level of detail that enables the Process Engineers and Executive Director to design and build solutions with confidence.
- Develop business requirements documents (BRDs) and functional specifications that capture decision logic, exception handling, audit trail requirements, and regulatory or compliance considerations.
- Document data flows, system integrations, and dependencies so that the Process Engineering Team can identify what tooling is required and when code-based development may be necessary.
- Prepare stakeholder impact assessmentsâidentifying who in the organization will be affected by process changes and documenting change management requirements.
Stakeholder Partnership & Delivery Support
- Maintain ongoing relationships with business stakeholders throughout engagement deliveryâanswering clarification questions from the Process Engineers, validating design decisions against business intent, and ensuring stakeholders remain engaged and supportive.
- Facilitate working sessions and requirements validation workshops with business teams during design and UAT phases.
- Support UAT planning and executionâdesigning test scenarios grounded in real business workflows, validating that solutions deliver the promised business outcomes, and documenting test results.
- Partner with the Product Manager on post-implementation validationâconfirming realized benefits match what was promised in the business case and identifying lessons learned.
Where Your Expertise Gets Called In
- Engagements where requirements are complex, multi-department, or where compliance and audit trail requirements are material to the design.
- Engagements involving external stakeholders (Finance, Risk, Audit, Legal) where formal documentation and change impact analysis are required.
- Any engagement where process complexity or regulatory requirements suggest that code-based development may be necessaryâBA documentation is critical for scoping work with Global AI Engineering.
- Intake and discovery phases across all engagementsâearly BA involvement ensures business problems are fully understood before commitment to delivery.
What This Role Does Not Include
- Defining the future-state vision at a function level (owned by the VP, working with G&A business leaders).
- Building solutionsâtranslating requirements into designs, implementing in Power Automate, or developing code (owned by Process Engineers, and Global AI Engineering).
- Program or project managementâtracking schedules, managing timelines, or overseeing delivery cadence (owned by the Program Manager).
- Final design or architecture decisionsâBA recommendations feed into the Executive Director, who, with the Process Engineers, presents a recommended build to the Product Manager and the VP.
How You Contribute to the Mission
You are the voice of the business inside the Process Engineering Teamâensuring that every dollar spent on engagement work is solving a real, quantified business problem. By translating business language into technical requirements and technical design back into business outcomes, you make sure the team is building what the business actually needs, not what we assume the business needs. Your documentation and requirements discipline accelerates delivery, reduces rework, and ensures that when solutions go live, stakeholders understand what has changed and why.
