Business Analytics Lead Analyst

The Clinical Analytics team within Evernorth’s Digital & Analytics organization partners across Medical Management, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, Operations, Clinical Programs, and Affordability initiatives to uncover insights that improve health outcomes and customer experiences. As a Business Analytics Lead Analyst, you will connect business strategy with advanced analytics, helping leaders make informed decisions and identify new opportunities to improve care, performance, and value.
Responsibilities
Partner with clinical, operational, product, and business stakeholders to define high-impact analytics opportunities aligned to strategic priorities.
Translate complex business questions into clear analytic problem statements, measurement plans, and actionable recommendations.
Analyze large healthcare claims and related data sources to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and drivers of business performance.
Lead program evaluations and outcome studies using descriptive, predictive, and causal analytic methods.
Define success metrics and measurement strategies that demonstrate business and customer impact.
Synthesize findings into clear, executive-ready insights that influence decisions and drive action.
Collaborate across analytics teams to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of projects and business outcomes.
Identify innovative approaches, scalable best practices, and emerging analytic methods that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay current on advancements in analytics, healthcare research, statistical methodologies, and technology.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, business analytics, data science, health services research, or a related field.
Experience working with healthcare claims data or other complex healthcare datasets.
Proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical programming language such as Python or R.
Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, program evaluation, or causal inference methodologies.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Public Health, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience designing quasi-experimental studies, difference-in-differences analyses, or other evaluation frameworks.
Familiarity with machine learning, data mining, and advanced healthcare analytics techniques.
Experience influencing business strategy through data-driven insights.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 79,000 - 131,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
