Job Description

Reports to: Director of Operations

About the Role

The Team Lead, Business Analytics is the strategic heart of Jobsdb Hong Kong's analytics function. In this role, you will be responsible for translating business objectives into meaningful insights that fuel growth, operational excellence, and smarter decision-making across the organisation.

You will serve as the bridge between data and strategy — leading a team of analysts to deliver high-quality work across candidate experience, hirer engagement, sales operations, and key business initiatives, while acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

This is a hands-on leadership role in the truest sense. You will balance strategic oversight with direct contribution, rolling up your sleeves to personally conduct analyses and develop insights alongside your team to ensure quality and timely delivery. Where required, the role also carries external-facing responsibilities, including presenting to clients, partners, or vendors, and representing Jobsdb at industry events and conferences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership — Act as the go-to analytics partner for the Managing Director and Senior Management, proactively surfacing insights that shape and inform business strategy.
  • Technology Innovation & AI Adoption — Champion the use of emerging technologies and AI tools to elevate the team's productivity and analytical capabilities through hands-on experimentation and real-world implementation.
  • Analytics Delivery & Insights Excellence — Drive timely, accurate, and actionable analytics that meet stakeholder needs and deliver tangible business outcomes, personally owning complex or high-priority analyses while maintaining visibility over team output.
  • Project & Resource Management — Lead effective prioritisation and resource allocation to maximise business impact, balancing your own time thoughtfully between leadership responsibilities and direct delivery.
  • Team Leadership & People Development — Build, inspire, and develop a high-performing analytics team with the capabilities and culture to deliver world-class insights consistently.
  • Stakeholder Management & Influence — Cultivate trusted relationships across the business, positioning analytics as a true strategic partner — and confidently representing the team both internally and externally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Analysis, Statistics, Marketing, Business, Computer Science or related discipline. Master degree is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in business analytics, with at least 1 years in a leadership or managerial role
  • Expertise in handling large datasets using SQL, R, Python and advanced proficiency in analytical
tools like Excel or equivalent platforms. e.g., Power BI, Tableau
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for leveraging analytics to drive business outcomes.
  • Proven experience working directly with senior stakeholders (C-suite executives, Managing Director level)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (written and spoken)

Company Description

SEEK has grown from a local online job classifieds platform in Australia into the world's largest online employment marketplace, now spanning 19 countries across Australia, New Zealand, China, Brazil, Mexico, South East Asia, Southern Africa, India, and Bangladesh.

Since our founding in Melbourne in 1997, we've grown to a team of over 6,000 people worldwide. At the heart of that growth is a culture that is challenging, rewarding, and inclusive — one where people are empowered to make a real difference, both within SEEK and in the wider community.

Our strategy is simple but ambitious: to connect more candidates with the right opportunities than anyone else, leveraging our marketplace scale to build a smarter, more efficient, and more effective hiring ecosystem.

From the very beginning, our people, our award-winning culture, and our strong values have been the foundation of everything we do — and they will continue to drive our success across every market we operate in.

In Asia, SEEK brings together two of the region's most trusted employment platforms — JobStreet.com and jobsDB — now operating as one unified team of 1,500 people across 7 countries in South East Asia. With bold growth ambitions, we are expanding our products, growing our customer base, and transforming the way we sell and serve — embracing solution-based selling, digital channels, and data-driven decision making to lead the future of work in the region.
