About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious Business Development Intern to join our international Business Development team.

This internship is designed for candidates who are looking to build a long-term career in international business development within a growing global organisation. The successful candidate will support the identification, development and execution of commercial opportunities across multiple international markets while gaining exposure to strategic projects, client engagement and commercial operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently completing or recently graduated from an MBA, Master's degree or undergraduate programme who is eager to develop into a future Business Development professional. Subject to performance and business needs, the internship may lead to a permanent position within the company.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development Support

  • Support the identification of new business opportunities across international markets.
  • Conduct research on potential clients, industries and market trends.
  • Assist in preparing commercial proposals, presentations and tender documentation.
  • Support the maintenance of sales pipelines and CRM records.
  • Participate in client meetings and internal commercial discussions where appropriate.
  • Assist with the preparation of commercial reports and management presentations.

Market & Commercial Analysis

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
  • Support the evaluation of commercial opportunities and business cases.
  • Analyse market intelligence and identify potential areas for growth.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and business insights for senior management.

Project & Commercial Coordination

  • Support coordination between Business Development, Operations, Finance, Legal and Technical teams.
  • Assist in proposal preparation and project handovers.
  • Support pricing exercises and commercial planning.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Education

Preferred

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an MBA.

Final-year undergraduate students or recent graduates in:

  • Business Administration (ADE)
  • International Business
  • Economics
  • Finance
  • Management
  • Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Geospatial Engineering
  • Data Analytics
  • Marketing (with a strong commercial focus)
  • Other related disciplines.

Candidates currently studying or recently completing a relevant Master's degree will also be considered.

Experience

Previous professional experience is not required.

However, the following would be considered an advantage:

  • Previous internship experience.
  • Experience in student consulting projects.
  • Participation in entrepreneurship or innovation initiatives.
  • International exposure through studies or work.
  • Experience preparing presentations or business cases.

  • Strong commercial curiosity and business acumen.
  • Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Interest in developing a long-term career in Business Development.

Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with Power BI, CRM platforms or data analysis tools would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Languages

Mandatory

  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

Desirable

  • Spanish.
  • Portuguese.
  • French.
  • Arabic.
  • Any additional language is considered an advantage.

Travel

  • Willingness to travel internationally when required.
