About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Associate to support operational excellence, product delivery, and business transformation initiatives. This role will partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and subject matter experts to develop process documentation, capture operational knowledge, support Agile delivery activities, coordinate testing efforts, and provide reporting and metrics. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and documentation skills, learning agility, and the ability to quickly develop expertise across business processes, products, systems, and operational workflows while supporting strategic business objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives
- Identify opportunities for process improvement by conducting root cause testing of all compliance and business metrics
- Determine areas of strength or Business Execution opportunity within defined scope of work
- Review and research strategies and action plans to establish effective processes while meeting performance metrics and policy expectations
- Utilize independent judgment to guide moderate risk deliverables
- Present recommendations to develop, implement, and monitor strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for managing risks of the business
- Exercise independent judgment and provide guidance in diverse support functions and operations for a single business group within a line of business
- Collaborate and consult with leaders and executive management
- Provide work direction to less experienced Strategy and Execution staff
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, process documentation, and knowledge management repositories.
- Experience documenting current-state and future-state business processes, workflows, and process maps.
- Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills.
- Experience supporting Agile delivery practices, including Jira administration, backlog maintenance, sprint planning, and coordination activities.
- Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting functional documentation.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, implementation, and release readiness activities.
- Proficiency in reporting, metrics development, dashboard creation, and status reporting.
- Strong meeting facilitation, stakeholder coordination, and action item tracking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to capture SME knowledge and translate complex information into clear, repeatable documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new products, systems, and operational processes quickly.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Confluence.
Job Expectations:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance SOPs, process documentation, process maps, and operational runbooks.
- Capture and institutionalize critical knowledge from subject matter experts to support business continuity and reduce key-person dependency risks.
- Support Product Owners and business teams with backlog management, Agile ceremonies, sprint coordination, and delivery tracking.
- Create and maintain user stories, business requirements, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate testing activities, support UAT execution, track defects, and assist with implementation readiness.
- Prepare and maintain reports, dashboards, metrics, and status updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Facilitate meetings, document key decisions, track action items, and coordinate follow-up activities.
- Collaborate with business, technology, and operations partners to support strategic initiatives and process improvement efforts.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance documentation standards.
- Build and maintain expertise in supported products, systems, and operational processes to effectively support ongoing initiatives and business priorities.
