Under limited supervision, designs, develops, tests, implements, documents, and supports business intelligence systems, including semantic layers, cubes/ extracts, and scheduling technologies, as well as analytic, visualization, and reporting technologies and processes. Is in the process of broadening those capabilities, as well as broadening knowledge of source and target systems, and related data warehouse and big data technologies and processes.
Principle Duties:
Creates and supports the process to pull the information from source data warehouse or data store and place it into the cubes/ extracts
Performs business intelligence design and testing, including data design, business intelligence architecture, metadata, and repository creation
Designs, develops, and maintains the business intelligence technologies and architectures
Assists with the creation of business intelligence schematics and layouts
Implements effective metrics and monitoring processes, as directed
Applies existing standards, processes, and procedures to business intelligence systems
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
May work with business and IT stakeholders to optimize reporting information by defining business requirements and populating the data warehouse table structure
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent education/ experience required
Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) and/or LOMA certification preferred
Work Experience:
1+ Years business intelligence or relevant experience required
Experience in Kimball dimensional modeling required
1+ Years experience with semantic layers, cubes/ extracts, and scheduling technologies, as well as analytic, visualization, and reporting technologies experience required
Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies required
Desire to develop Data Analysis skills required Ability to solve moderately complex problems, drawing upon technical experience, precedents, and judgement required
Strong interpersonal skills required Strong communication skills, including ability to explain complex information in straightforward situations required
Tableau Enterprise and Desktop required Tidal Enterprise Scheduler required
Oracle SQL required
Vertica required
SSAS Tabular, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Erwin Data Modeler preferred
Insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge preferred

Compensation Range:
$78,080.00 - $110,860.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
