As we continue our growth and transformation in the NT Workers Compensation, which is part of our self insurance business, we are thrilled to announce a brand-new opportunity for a Business Improvement Analyst to join our Self Insurance business. As the Business Improvement Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest level of business performance is achieved through the analysis of data and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making within our Self-insurance business unit. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations Claims, Operations Technical, Business Intelligence, Learning & Capability, Quality Assurance, Finance, Customer Service and General Manager to gather and interpret data, identify trends and patterns, and develop actionable recommendations for Continuous Improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of workers compensation regulations and processes. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role provides a unique opportunity to leverage your experience and skills in data analysis and process gap identification to improve and drive quality performance and outcomes across the function. How you'll make an impact Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and develop service design improvement solutions for the business; Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity; Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and best practices in workers compensation; Provide recommendations based on data analysis to drive improvements in workers compensation processes and outcomes; Support the development and implementation of data-driven strategies and initiatives to reduce costs, meet legislative requirements and improve outcomes; Facilitate harvesting or improvement ideas from within our business ensuring they are captured and prioritised based on potential for performance uplift/benefit. About you Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role. Exposure to the insurance/financial services and/or workers compensation fields would be advantageous, although not essential; Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets related to claims; Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI); Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities; Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders; Deep understanding of workers compensation regulations, processes, and best practices; Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in the workers compensation field; Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
