Role Summary
The Business Performance & Analytics Manager leads the Business Performance & Analytics team supporting the Global Planning Network and Site Supply Chain organizations. Reporting to the Global Supply Planning Lead, this role is responsible for delivering integrated business intelligence, performance reporting, digital solutions, and advanced analytics that enable business execution and data-driven decision making across the end-to-end supply chain.
The Manager works collaboratively across Supply Planning, Raw Materials Planning, and Site Supply Chain organizations to connect operational, planning, and financial insights into a cohesive view of business performance.
Leading a team of Business Performance & Analytics Analysts, the Manager ensures the delivery of standardized, accurate, and timely analytics, enterprise dashboards, KPI scorecards, and executive reporting that provide consistent visibility across the Global Planning Network. Through strong cross-functional partnerships, the role promotes alignment across planning and site supply chain functions, enabling informed decision-making, proactive performance management, and continuous improvement.
The Manager also develops team capability, fosters collaboration across global and site organizations, and drives process standardization, automation, and adoption of modern analytics solutions that improve business performance and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Collaboration & Business Integration
- Serve as the primary integrator of business performance at AIN across the Global Planning Network and Site Supply Chain organizations, ensuring a unified view of end-to-end supply chain performance.
- Foster strong partnerships across Supply Planning, Raw Materials Planning, Digital Technology, and Site Supply Chain teams to align performance measures, priorities, and business objectives.
- Establish common KPI definitions, reporting standards, and governance processes that create consistency and transparency across global planning and site operations.
- Connect operational, planning, and financial insights into a cohesive business performance narrative that enables informed executive decision-making.
- Facilitate cross-functional performance reviews that encourage collaboration, identify interdependencies, resolve performance gaps, and drive aligned improvement initiatives across the global network.
- Promote a "One Supply Chain" mindset by ensuring analytics and performance reporting support enterprise outcomes rather than functional optimization.
Business Performance & Analytics
- Lead the Business Performance & Analytics team supporting the Global Planning Network and Site Supply Chain organizations.
- Define the analytics strategy, operating model, priorities, and roadmap aligned with Global Planning objectives.
- Establish governance for GSC Planning KPI reporting, performance management, and business analytics.
- Ensure timely delivery of recurring and ad hoc reporting.
- Collaborate with Global Planning on translating business strategy into meaningful performance metrics and executive dashboards.
- Present business insights and recommendations to Planning and Site Supply Chain leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Planning Network Analytics
- Provide strategic analytics leadership across Supply Planning, Raw Materials Planning, Inventory Planning and Integrated Business Planning processes.
- Partner with planning leaders to identify trends, risks, constraints, and opportunities that improve planning performance and supply reliability.
Site Supply Chain Analytics
- Lead analytics supporting manufacturing and site supply chain operations.
- Ensure consistent reporting and performance visibility across manufacturing sites while driving standardization of metrics and reporting processes.
Digital Analytics & Business Intelligence
Lead the design and continuous improvement of enterprise analytics capabilities including:
- Executive dashboards
- KPI scorecards
- Self-service reporting
- Data visualization
- Predictive analytics
- AI-enabled decision support
Collaborate with AIN GSC Digital team in the development and support of reporting platforms including Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, and other enterprise analytics tools.
Partner with Digital Technology and SAP teams to prioritize enhancements, improve reporting architecture, and increase automation across supply chain processes.
Financial Performance & Value Delivery
- Partner with Finance to improve visibility of supply chain financial performance including:
- Budget tracking
- Cost center performance
- Logistics costs
- Inventory carrying costs
- Scrap performance
- Forecast accuracy
- Operational cost drivers
Develop analytics that enable proactive financial decision-making and quantify business value delivered through supply chain improvements.
Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation
Lead initiatives that simplify processes, automate reporting, improve data quality, and standardize analytics across the organization.

- Lead and develop the Business Performance & Analytics Analyst team.

- Ensure consistent KPI definitions, reporting standards, and data quality across supported functions.
- Facilitate cross-functional performance reviews and support governance forums.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and analytics capability within the team.
- Coach and develop team members while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused culture.
Basic Qualifications
8-13 years of experience in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations, Finance, Engineering, or related business functions
OR
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience consistent with Amgen qualification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading or supervising business analytics, business intelligence, supply chain, planning, or operations teams in a complex global organization.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain planning processes, including Supply Planning, Raw Materials Planning, Inventory Planning, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and Site Supply Chain operations.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and influence cross-functional stakeholders across global and site organizations to achieve shared business objectives.
- Experience developing enterprise performance dashboards, KPI frameworks, executive reporting, and business performance scorecards.
- Knowledge of SAP platforms (S/4HANA, ECC, Fiori, IBP) and enterprise reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, BusinessObjects, SQL, Python, or Databricks.
- Experience leading process improvement, reporting standardization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives that improve business performance and operational effectiveness.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data management principles.
- Experience partnering with Finance to support business performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance analysis.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
