JOB PURPOSE: The IT Business Systems Analyst III provides application life-cycle planning, support, and maintenance for assigned enterprise applications, including but not to administration, troubleshooting, investigating, and resolving errors and/or issues with assigned applications. Responsible to map the organizations application needs and business requirements to solutions that best meet requirements. Will be required to analyze application usage and provide consultation to users as needed for optimal system utilization.
Essential Job Functions:
Acts as the IT department subject matter expert for all assigned applications.
Troubleshoots moderate to complex application errors and/or issues and provide support to the IT Business Systems Analyst I and IT Business Systems Analyst II.
Understands and articulates application workflow, purpose, and user base.
Ensures the assigned applications meet the usability requirements for user workflows.
Documents application workflows and standard work, including review and approval of documentation.
Ensures application meets organizational goals and recommend alternatives when appropriate.
Monitors for, recommends and coordinates end-user proficiency training when needed.
Monitors for, recommends and coordinates application upgrades, service pack and patch installations.
Acts as the liaison between the end-user, vendor and supporting teams within IT for upgrades, service pack and patch installs and support requests.
Provides and/or coordinates end-to-end testing, including end-users where appropriate after installation of upgrades, service packs and patches.
Manages application users, roles and permissions or delegate as appropriate.
Ensures the assigned applications maintain compliance with regulatory and/or HIPPA requirements.
Tests and validates implementation of application resilience through high availability when possible.
Responsible for creating application roadmaps as it relates to software upgrades, feature enhancements, server operating system upgrades and End-of-Life (EoL) management.
Resolves or facilitates the resolution of application production and maintenance problems, documents root cause analysis and develops preventive measures to ensure future application resilience.
Validates existence of scheduled application data backups and coordinate routine backup testing.
Responsible for creating and delivering application related reports for assigned applications.
Advises owning manager of available and appropriate vendor contracted support levels.
Provides expertise and leads project management efforts, including but not limited to application upgrades, application sunsetting and migration.
Responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining reports as it pertains to all assigned applications.
Leads other analyst in routine enterprise application reviews, including usage, effectiveness, and costs, to ensure all current organizational needs are met in the most complete, cost-effective way possible.
Evaluates and conveys team application training recommendations to manager.
Evaluates and conveys team staffing recommendations to manager.
Maintains a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in compliance with all Policies and Procedures including but not limited to work areas, workstations, examination rooms, hand washing, infection prevention and control etc. for this position.
Demonstrates an understanding of and proficiency with the application of all compliance and reporting requirements respective to Joint Commission Certification (JCC) standards.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or similar from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience.
Eight (8) years of experience working with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
Eight (8) years of experience providing lifecycle management for various software applications such as RightFax, SharePoint, OnBase, Zoom, etc.
If applicable, equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, and must be directly related to the functions and responsibilities of the job.
Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:
Employees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday. If an employee is driving during work hours, the employee is required to possess a valid driver’s license and must comply with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements.
IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent.
May be required to complete an application specific certification in an application such as SharePoint, OnBase, Jira, Everbridge, etc.
Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of application analysis and operating systems preferable used in a healthcare setting.
Proficient at creating workflow documentation and knowledge base articles.
Understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (I.T.I.L.) practices.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages
